Overall set up was good.

Unfortunately there was water blockage issue...plus maintenance and cleanliness issues

The overnight front desk male staff was attentive. He knew that we over paid online and he wanted to help reducing our charges. At the end, he couldn't succeed but I appreciate his help.

The female front desk staff (on duty during the day with uniform, not saree) is quite rude and not suitable for this role.On 31st Jan Tues at around 2pm IST, I went to front desk to inform that we had a late check out at 6pm, her first reaction was "oh you still need to give full pay given you already passed the check out time". (Which I completely understand and had no problem to pay). Instead of asking me how was my stay or if I would need help collecting the luggage, she only cares about charging me extra which I totally don't appreciate. I will not come back again because of this kind of staff.

The staff tried to help, but very inadequately trained.

Room musty smell, table lamp shade torn and dirty, broken kettle had to be replaced twice, no spoons for making tea, light switches confusing ie plug point switches doubled as ceiling lights, no bath gel in bathroom, no tissue could be provided, no bedside reading light, no safe in cupboardWhen I asked for safe they sent one with somebody, with no intention of fixing it to I said unfixed safe is not a safe it's a briefcase.Their credit machine was not working, had to pay cash ( no prewarning )All in all , advertising it as a 4 star hotel is misleading and false.They did not offer any compensation. Or offer corrections.I have photos of all the issues above.

The rooms need a lot of maintenance. No mini bar, no locker. Need to improve in terms of maintenance. No complimentary breakfast for the price charged for the rooms.

Was located near the work place so it was convenient. Breakfast buffet was good. We also got upgraded to suite room on check in.

Room was very dated and old and smelled musty and unclean fungus, maybe due to room not being used or maybe due to fungus in the aircon. Due to this sleep quality was very disturbed. Room service waiter wanted immediate payment (no putting on the room account) I offered to pay by Google pay, he gave me the his personal QR code on his phone and the payment was sent to his personal account. Extremely weird and annoying. There was no bill either. When I told the receptionist he simply said that it is okay. Restaurant timings are poor for a all day restaurant (nothing was available at 11.30am) and was totally dark and deserted at 8pm - gave me a slightly weird feeling. Bathroom fittings are old and outdated. On the whole a disappointing stay and we did not expect this standard from a Sarovar group hotel.

Overall very poor experience for brand like Sarovar Portico it was not at all expected.

Property was not at all as per the promise shown in Photos..or reviews in booking.com. Poorly organized staffed and other aminities/room services pathetic. Checked out in 1 hr from the property and checked in other hotel same day.

Location is very good, however the prices were a bit high compared to what we are getting for similar rates in similar locations. Overall the stay was comfortable.

wish the room was a bit bigger and better, with a more comfortable chair to relax.

Great room, very clean. The electronic light controls took a little getting used to. Shower was nice and hot.

Breakfast - ordered room service. Was cold, they had to come a couple of times to complete the order.

Staff are very kind and accomodating. Always smiling and pleasant. Room was very spacious and linen and toilets were very clean.

We checked in late. Wish we could get cutlery for our food we ordered from outside. Seems like its against the policy of the hotel.

Bad

I had the most pathetic time at this hotel!! They have posted the 'club room' pictures in the superior room option on booking.com.. so when you book a superior room thinking it's big enough for you.. wait for it when you see it personally.. they will make you stay in a closet size room and will tell you that this is the superior room and the images on the app are just for reference.. after paying 1500 bucks extra they shifted us to a club room, in which there was a big spider on the bed, a nail was coming out of the wooden flooring that hurt my feet!! And when i complained about this to the manager, he apologized and offered us to shift to a suite to which we declined but after a while we noticed the exhaust fan in the bathroom wasn't working and the handle of the shower was broken so we had to call the manager again and asked him to shift us to a different room, but guess what? They sent us to another dingy room. It was very small and shady.. we finally came back to the previous room, waited for the maintainece staff to fix the room. And when we finally ate the breakfast next morning, it reminded me of the stale hospital food.. tasteless and cold. I would never stay in this hotel again!! And i ask others to stay away from this pathetic excuse of a hotel they are running!!P.S - Their wi-fi sucks big time!!

The breakfast was a decent one.

This is not a room you pay 5k and expect. Starting with asking for essential amenities for three times before being finally acknowledged. Having to call the reception three to four times to get through. I honestly don't think it even beats a three star property in terms of service and facilities.

Staff were helpful. Food was good. Place is very pleasant and welcoming.

Front desk could understand and accommodate customer requests. Were helpful, but could do better.

Happy with the staff behaviour, as they helped my sister.

I had booked an emergency stay for my sister but it turned out to be a disaster for her. Firstly, the Safe in which the passports and laptops were kept would not open, and the staff did not have any locksmith available for 3 - 4 hours.The next most important thing the hotel needs to sort out is the water heater for taking a shower. Apparently the guest need to call the reception one hour ahead of taking a shower, so that the water heater can be turned on. That was really surprising as bangalore being a cold city, hot water should be readily available.

The staff were very professional and was on call all the time. They maintain safety standards but again I didn't expect the room to be that small

The room was very congested, it isn't as big as shown in the photos, it was very disappointing!
