They did not provide us with a room. So nothing to like

They did not provide any room. They sent us to a different hotel. I believe they over booked and gave us a lame reason that there is some issue with the room.

Very good interior, premium finishes.

Hellish din upto 12.30 on Saturday evening, I believe there’s a club on upper floors and the chief patrons are the owners children, Unproffesional approach of owners is making weekend stays a nightmare for guests to the otherwise well run property.

Place was clean, air conditioning worked well, people were nice and it is very well located. Uncomplicated stay and will definitely go here again.

We booked and paid for an executive triple room , but on arrival the staff has said that we had booked and paid for a different room and they had given the room we had paid for to a different guest, they tried to convince me to stay in the cheaper room for one night and they would move us the following day, I was unwell and tired and in tears as my husband has to go to a meeting so I was alone. They asked another guest to move rooms for me, and made me feel like I had been difficult. When I finally connected to the internet I showed them that we had indeed booked the executive triple room, I felt they were taking advantage as I am female, western and at that point tired. The room device we ordered was incorrect and more expensive than we had expected.

Location and breakfast are good. The staff are very courteous and the rooms are maintained clean.

On weekends they blast music from the pub below. The sound is so loud the whole building shakes. The music goes on up to the wee hours. It is impossible for anybody to sleep! All requests and complaints just go vain. The staff just express their helplessness.

We’ve been staying at this hotel for over 10 years now and while it has had its ups and downs over the years, we never experienced bad staff behaviour. The check in guy at the reception made our stay horrible. First, he took very long to check us in and when he did he gave us the wrong room type. When I confronted him about this, he gave us another room which was identical to the first room and still not the correct room type. After reminding him that we are long term guests here and know their room types, he begrudgingly gave us the correct room. The whole saga wasted 30-40 minutes of what precious time we had left during our only evening in Bangalore. It delayed every subsequent plan of ours and we couldn’t do a couple of things which was very annoying. We had an early morning flight and when we decided to checkout, it took 25 mins to checkout because the front desk guy who had allocated us the wrong rooms hadn’t signed us out from the wrong room, so we were going to be charged for both rooms. This took a few frantic calls from the night staff to the front desk guy to finally sort it out. And when that was sorted, their payment card machine didn’t work. Unbelievably frustrating! We managed to make a UPI payment and left.As for the hotel itself. despite the exterior renovation, the rooms are still dated. There’s no hot water once it’s past morning. It’s a shame. This was (and is) such a lovely property with a location that can put the best of 5-star hotels to shame. If only they fixed their service snags, upgrade the property, and hire competent people like they had in the past, it could do really well. As for us, we probably won’t be returning. A shame again because we have been visiting nearly every year for over a decade and we’ve now run out of patience with all their issues.
