the attitude of the receptionist were so rude . The room was not clean .they haven't refunded us and haven't informed there rules before I paid the amount .they are discriminating people based on their religion and caste

I'm extremely disappointed and upset with my experience at Surya Hotel. We booked a room online and confirmed it without any issues, but things took a drastic turn when we arrived at the hotel.The receptionist asked about our caste and when we refused to disclose, they denied us accommodation. This is completely unacceptable and discriminatory. We were not informed about any such policy during booking, and it's shocking that a hotel can get away with such practices.What's even worse is that they didn't offer a refund or an apology. They simply told us to leave and didn't provide any assistance. It's clear that they prioritize their biased policies over customer satisfaction and basic human rights.I would strongly advise against staying at Surya Hotel due to their discriminatory practices. It's unfortunate that such hotels exist, and I hope they take necessary actions to change their policies and treat customers with respect..

Hotel bed was damaged, bathroom was full of ants, hotel room walls and ceiling were dilapidated. All together waste of money

We stayed for two days and they have demanded 3000 rupees for two days .But during the check out time one staff asked to pay an additional 200 rupees due to online booking . This is humiliating

When I checked in the hotel the staff at the reception very rude, At the time we checked, they told us that if we register the address in capital letters I wrote it he can't read it after writing, After that he behaved with us not in the manner of talking to a guest, when I booked the hotel room it was shown on your site that you can get hot water and wifi, hot water brought me in a bucket and there was time limit to get it and internet connection not available in the room, if we need it, we have to go to the reception that's how a service is provided. Similarly, the port to charge the phone was lying loosely and should have been placed on top of a pillow to charge the phone, I had a very bad experience there.

The condition of rooms are not good as seepage in the rooms from walls and bathroom. Needs maintenance.

Hotel Surya nearest to city center and it maintain clean and good service.

Location good .Doors of toilet repaired but not nice .Wire hanging some places .

House keeping should address this issue .Not so costly but make difference in the mind of customer

The hotel was located amidst of good restaurants, juice, ice creams and souvenir shops. Could explore the city by walk easily from here, and could also get autos to travel around. The room was super spacious, has extra large windows, tables, chairs, king-size bed, and Television. Could easily reach reception via telephone for all your needs.

Though I booked a family room, which says it can accomodate a couple and a child, they have charged extra for accomodating my son, and provided extra cot, which is not needed. The king-size bed comfortably accomodates three of us. I asked for an extra pedestal fan, as the climate was humid. The hotel said they don't have.

Staff was bit confused about our booking, but room assistant was very good, soft spoken, cooperative.attended to our calls immediately.

Nothing is good in room rn... We booked an ac triple room... Before 3-4 years it was a good hotel... Well maintainedBut not maintainance is too poor... Hot water won't be available always... Each room has a hot water geyser which doesn't even work...When asked for blankets they gave bedsheets lol When we asked for place for driver to sleep which was free of cost before... They charged 200₹ extra for that also The receptionist just wants money asap as if we'll run away without paying., service is too bad... Room location is good which is a plus point... They have to work on maintenance a lot to keep their name.

1. The room price is reasonable compared to other hotels in Mangalore city.2. Since the location of the hotel is in the center of the city, it was very easy to commute everywhere (Ex: Mangala Devi Temple, Kadri, Kudroli, Ullal, St. Aloysius, Sultan Bathery, Tannirbhavi Beach, K.S.R.T.C Bus Stand etc.)3. The auto stand and restaurants are also very close & at walkable distance from the hotel.4. The hotel staff were very polite, co-operative & helpful.5. It is a well maintained and decent place.

The room had just one tube-light in the center & no small bulbs. When we switch-off this tube-light at night, the room would become complete dark. May be fixing one Zero candle bulb would solve it.
