    Pros +

    • Central location and clean
    • Staff and location and view
    • very friendly and helpful staff. The view is incredible.

    Cons -

    • Right on Main Street and room faced street so it was loud all evening with window open as needed cooling down.
    • Breakfast needs improvement.
    • The common areas are not that cosy, dont expect to have a cozy drink or dinner in the bar.

We very likes the Spa area and swimming pool, nice view, and perfect to end your day. Also easy walk to the city centre of Bariloche. We had nice interactions with the staff.

The common areas are not that cosy, dont expect to have a cozy drink or dinner in the bar.

Pretty and helpful staff- great bar upstairs with good food options.

Uncomfortable old feeling beds. Horrible breakfast- limited/ no fresh fruit- it was diced or canned maybe, and just containers of cooked eggs. Not enough sliced salami pork options. Just not high quality you can get in more upscale hotels.

    The view

The staff manager Matheo Gaggino.Worst experience ever. No willing to solve any problem and bad attitude.Never will put a foot on Alma del Lago again thanks to him.Makes the Alma del Lago experience absolutely unworthy.

All is good, service, location, cleaning, amenities, quality in general

That if you have an early flight, you do not have any right to bring a breakfast to go. A 5* hotel not offering this small breakfast is uncommon.

The view, the staff was very nice

The breakfast was unbearable, no tasty and nothing with gluten free.Almost No internet in the room.

    Location and view

There was no air conditioning and despite arriving in the fall, it was unbearably hot in the evenings. On arrival we were provided with a key that did not work. It was reprogrammed and upon entering the room, we found out they had given us the key to a room where someone else was already staying. They then had to give us a different room however it was unnerving to have been given access to anotherher persons room. They make you pay for your room before check in.. in full.

Great server and bartender at MiticoWe stayed an extra because of them , very outgoing and knowledgeable of BarilocheThumbs Up for Leandro & Enzo

The staff at the reception very whatever, cold and sarcastic

The hotel is very pretty, only complaint is with the worker Christian Lang, who was unhelpful and disrespectful to me and my friend when asking a completely normal question. If you are going to be that rude, don’t work in hospitality.

    Amazing view and great staff

When they change your sheets, they spray a perfume on the pillows. It may be pleasant to some but it was intolerable to me. Wish they would just give you the option but they did address it promptly.

Not much apart from the view. Which is a given in bariloche. This hotel is a definition of overrated, far from its 5 star rating. Breakfast, cleanliness and overall service are not up to standard.

Lake view from the room and the restaurant, Mistic. Cesar salad was excellent.

Breakfast was not great, very few choices. Some of the staff members didn’t greet or smile while some were very helpful. I would have liked an espresso machine in the room. Tea choices in the room were very limited, just one kind. No nose tissues in the room.

Very nice hotel with the best view on the lake , nice people working there and very clean .

The room was fantastic. We were upgraded but it really was better than the more expensive room we had at the Llao Liao nearby. Really big comfy bed and with incredible views to the lake.

The bar was dull - not great service and choice. The breakfast was also mediocre. We didn't use the restaurant but it looked rather quiet the night we were there.

Great location, friendly staff, amazing view and nice swimming pool. Breakfast was lovely.

It can be a bit loud. If you are sensitive to hallway noise in the morning, bring earplugs.

Great location on the lake, beautiful terrace views.

The bar and restaurant are a bit outdated, could use an renovation. Also we were really looking forward to use the spa facilities, but the sauna was already fully booked on the day of our arrival and the next morning they opened after 11.00 (I don’t know why that is), so we were not able to make use of that which was a pity.

    Risk of credit card misuse

The hotel staff demanded our credit card details incl. the security number and with our signature at check-in. Because this exposes the hotel guests to a credit card misuse, we questioned it: the hotel manager told it’s hotel policy and said we must leave if we don’t accept. We offered to pay for our stay in advance, but this wasn’t acceptable to the hotel manager. For any traveller this poses a significant security and financial risk. Personally we won’t book ever this hotel again. It isn’t worth the financial risk.

    6VishnaPosted on: 1-13-2025

The hotel setting is stunning- it’s got a perfect view of the water from different parts of the hotel including the pool, toilets, lobby area. The lobby staff are friendly and even kindly let us into our room a bit early. The bar is great for sundown cocktails (e.g. highly recommend the caipirinha).

But it’s not a 5* hotel as they advertise but somewhere between 3 and 4*. The breakfast is just too basic and it doesn’t provide any real alternative for dietary requirements beyond coconut milk on some days. The hotel also didn’t want to entertain any flexibility on takeaway breakfast for when we had to leave early. The pool opens late and on one day the staff let a guest do a work call on his laptop from the relaxing zone and prioritised him finishing his call beyond wider guest relaxation. The gym is basic and the sauna has a strange booking schedule at fixed times. But what stood out to me is that all of this feedback is already available online which makes me think management is just a bit rigid about taking on feedback and genuinely improving guest experiences.
