Pros +

  • Very nice hosts, family run. Rooms were comfortable and nice and warm with a heater. Hot shower. Good WiFi.
  • We licked the location and the beds.
  • Our private room was spacious and comfortable. There is also a small table with an electric kettle and some complimentary tea and coffee, which we appreciated a lot. The Wifi worked well from our room. The shared bathrooms are shared between two rooms only, so there shouldn't be many instances in which you'll have to wait to use them. It is also effectively a private bathroom if the other room is not occupied. There are enough hooks to hang your towel and clothes in the bathroom. The shared kitchen has almost everything you need to prepare simple meals. We could also use the basin in the laundry room to wash our clothes by hand, as well as to hang them in the yard to dry. The garden is lovely too: there were so many roses there! It was easy to coordinate with our host, Ernesto, regarding our arrival and departure. We also appreciated being allowed to stay in the common area (i.e. the dining room and reception) after checkout while waiting for our evening bus. The location is a bit away from the centre of Bariloche, but we found it quite easily walkable notwithstanding the uphill gradient when walking back to the property from the centre. There is a large supermarket (La Anonima) two and a half blocks away.

Cons -

  • Location was a bit further out
  • The bathroom had really strong damp smell.
  • The shared kitchen could use a few spoons (there were none when we were there). It would be good to have more hangers in the room too (there was only one in our room).
