Cute hotel and quieter than I thought it would be sitting over the Pub. I think that is because the pub was really more of a restaurant than a pub. We stopped in after dinner and there were only tables,no bar seats. Best breakfast sandwich I've had!

The room looked over the roof and vents. It was very warm at night and the fan wasn't quite enough. Only one window opened. Would have been a better night of sleep if there was another ran or a breeze.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean

A little far from town. Found it a little noisy with the events going on. The room was a little warm but no screen on the window.

Great place to end our South Island vacation. Close to Nelson Airport. Wonderful staff (especially Ian). The pub was a nice local place to have a drink and a meal.

Classic pub downstairs and rooms upstairs. Excellent shower.

Air con would have been nice on a very warm evening.

Comfortable rooms over a pub. What's not to like. Good location, with food and drink on site, and another nice restaurant just over the road.

Room was a bit warm - even with the window open - however they did provide a fan - not a deal breaker!

An easy walk from the Airport. And surprisingly quiet. Great having the restaurant and bar downstairs. Popular with guests and the locals.

Location is lovely. Enjoyed the friendly and efficient staff. I was grateful that the outdoor music stopped at 9pm

My main negative rating for my stay was the lack of availability of breakfast on the Sunday morning of my stay. I had to wait until the restaurant opened at 10am to order a cheese scone (which was delicious by the way). If breakfast was available it certainly wasn’t mentioned in the information book in my room.

Friendly staff, very convenient to airport (5-7 minute taxi). Restaurant/bar onsite.

No elevator but staff offered to carry our bags, which was nice. Older property, a little tired.

Bar was good staff very friendly and helpful but it was expensive for what it was, advertising didn’t match up. The hallways were not vacuumed and the whole place looked a little tired and in need of a revamp.

It was much smaller than the photos showed, very close to airport with flights at 4-5am.The Resturant and bar played precedence over the accommodation.

Good location and view. Clean and spacious enough bathroom. There’s also a microwave outside the rooms which was nice for heating up a quick meal

No mesh on windows so little flies would come in when windows are open. It was stuffy inside the room when windows are closed. Mattresses were too soft and difficult to sleep on

It is a good place to stay for a night or two. Comfortable beds and standard room for a pub with accommodation. Did not eat there but the food is good pub grub.

Location and it is a beautiful old hotel. Staff friendly and go all out to make sure your stay is good.

Our room was above the pub and outdoor area, and this was noisy, but fortunately by 9.30/10pm it stopped.

Room clean and tidy, comfy bed, quiet area, small place down hallway with microwave, plates etc, very useful if wanting to prepare own food, good restaurant onsite, a very quaint older style accommodation with lots of character

Stairs which my husband finds difficult. The units on ground floor were fully booked

Rooms get really really warm during the day, there’s a noisy fan but no aircon. We were there in spring and found the room to hot too sleep, so can’t imagine how warm it must get in summers. In our room we could hear the music from the pub until 10 pm, after that super quiet. So for adults okay, but with kids could be an issue.

Character and location - 15-20 minute to the airport - easy to find and pleasant reception

The shower didn't work properly and the spa bath didn't function. We found out too late in the evening -1130-so said nothing as l am sure they would have resolved the issue for us

Beautiful building and surroundings and the fact to be able to dinner at the same place we stayed.Nice walk around. Close to the airport.The waitress was friendly and we felt welcome.

We struggled to find a parking spot as hotel guests, and we had all our luggage with us. It would be very helpful to have some clearly allocated spaces for hotel guests, restaurant customers, and campervans, which often need two spaces.We also had to wait almost 1 hour for our food after ordering because our order had been forgotten. The food was expensive regarding the quality. We asked for crunchy fries and they arrived not well cooked and white... after 1 hour of waiting.
