Nice Harbour view

Lighting above bed (room 8) not fully functional.

Quiet with great views over the marina. Spacious well appointed rooms, very clean. Near a good eatery and not far from the supermarket. Off street parking. Great shower!

Clean and comfortable room. Great, helpful staff. Peaceful location a stort walk to citycentre.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.We enjoyed the breakfast and the location was perfect for us.

Good place to stay before heading to North Island.. excellent dinner restaurant,so no need to go out and try to find food. Got all the best NZ dishes, scallops,lamb,venison. Cute small village, living off the ferry business..?

Lovely location by Nelson harbour.Spotlessly clean bedroom and bathroom.Belinda the Manager and her colleague were so kind and nothing was too much trouble.

Comfortable bed. Anchor bar and grill a minutes walk away.

Position. Obviously older building now surrounded by harbour commercial business.

The room was good and continental breakfast was a bonus. Central hotel near harbor. Coffee shop short walk.

Need to be able to carry your bag up stairs.

It was a little out dated just needs a paint job and a few touch ups,the location was good nice and quiet

The breakfast items were very good, especially having cheeses and cold meats, fresh fruit, choice of juices, toast etc. More than what is offered in other places.

Only 1 TV Channel. International travellers like to be able to keep in touch with the news.Apparently a lot of guests complain about this, but nothing done to date.

It was nice to have a breakfast included. Having a harbor view was great. We could relax in our room and just enjoy. Access to downtown was easy.

Long walk from town and not much else near the hotel

The proprietor went far above and beyond, helping us get our laundry done and organizing early breakfasts before we started on our Abel Tasman backpack trip.

Good place for a one night stop. Really good continental breakfast included. Convenient pub next door for food. Very clean and comfortable

Whilst some views are over the Marina, the overall location is away from town in a working marina /harbour environment

The staff are amazing, I unfortunately did not get the name of the lady at reception/manager however she was completely fantastic and made the Harbourside lodge a 5 star place to stay. We stayed 2 nights in total, one night before and after our walk on the Heaphy. She upgraded our room both nights, was very accomodating, responsive and friendly. We were also very grateful to not have to plan our breakfast there and enjoyed the continental style buffet and some great filter coffee. The room itself was very clean, tidy, and the bed was comfy. We were grateful for the aircon as it was hot and muggy in Nelson!

We didn't get the room we booked9, even though we arrived at the reception times, there was no one in the reception room and they just left a key, there was no one to complain to.

Good view of harbour from our room. Comfortable beds. Good shower. Simple good breakfast.

Exterior needs an uplift.

A bit out of downtown for walking everywhere so had to drive. But free parking in Nelson was easy to find near the CBD, drives were short and the city is super easy to navigate. Really nice breakfast is a spacious room.

We didn't mind, but there was a bit of sand on the furniture and in the shower upon arrival.
