- Great Location, great food and friendly staff . Room was quiet and clean
- The rooms had high ceilings and good natural light with windows.
Cons -
- can hear the noise from next room. Room is too small.
- Bathroom door's lock wasnt working each time. Ventilation in a room was a bit off with weird humidity smell
- Apart from the excellent bed, the room had no facilities at all and the general ambience is very basic, possibly a new vacuum cleaner would help.

Great Location, great food and friendly staff . Room was quiet and clean
The rooms had high ceilings and good natural light with windows.
Plenty of parking space, private bathroom in a room
Bathroom door's lock wasnt working each time. Ventilation in a room was a bit off with weird humidity smell
The bed was very comfortable, the room had a view and the private bathroom had everything necessary and a very good shower (except for the curtain).
Apart from the excellent bed, the room had no facilities at all and the general ambience is very basic, possibly a new vacuum cleaner would help.
Host was very friendly, the pub seemed very fun and lively. It was nice being able to find a room with an en-suite bathroom for a decent price and the location was walkable to town
The shared kitchen was gross, sauce splatters and crumbs everywhere. I also found a small worm/larva crawling on me in the middle of the night from my bed
Good staff and clean room
Toilet seat broken, shower was rubbish
Very comfortable clean room, great location
Curtains in the room did not cover the windows completely. They could do with being replaced
The staff could not have been more helpful. They made us feel right at home and gave plenty of advice on activities plus places to go and see. We had an issue with our hire car during our stay and Erin, who is a star by the way, not only advised us where to get it repaired, but lent us her phone to make all the arrangements as we had days only esims. The food and drinks were superb, an excellent stay all round.
We love staying there! The location is great! Breathtaking is at 7am! Very quiet at night and very clean! Cleaner then some of the motels lol thank you for doing such an amazing job!!!
Nice beds and kitchen is well equipped.
Some kids (not related to the hostel) threw stones at us while eating lunch.
Bar at night and cafe in the morning!!
Don't forget to bring a towel.
Good location; The staff was nice the few times I met them.
An old and quite disgusting building; In my opinion, it needs more successful ongoing maintenance.
Stayed pre and post Abel Tasman hike. Comfy beds and nice outdoor area. Bonus points for the pub!
Very comfy clean beds lovely warm room and excellent location
The double rooms with ensuite are upstairs and access to the kitchen via an outstairs, which could be a problem.
super friendly staff and fantastic facilities including bike storage/workshop which was perfect for us as we flew into nelson and started/ended a 3 day bike trip there. Having a workstand, tools and place to store bike bags was an absolute game changer. pub/restaurant downstairs was much appreciated! Walking distance to all the best pubs, cafes and restaurants is a bonus
We had a private room with ensuite which suited our needs, no traffic noise, polite and friendly staff. Easy parking out back of property. Bar onsite.
The toilet seat and the curtain needs some attention in room 4
location, price, parking
no electric fans
Marahau is better than Nelson
Expensive and not comfortable. Better and cheaper to sleep in Marahau
Great breakfast. Didn't know the cafe was there. Only thought they had the bar and dinner.
Telling other guests not to slam their door early morning...
