Richmond Motel and Holiday Park

The AC was good. Staff were very friendly and professional.

Unit was clean and comfortable with plenty of room, bonus was having separate private outside area. Would definitely stay again, location was great and handy to everything we wanted to do.

The motel was ok for what it was but $200 a night was a bit on the pricey side. little things like kitchen drawers opening properly, a knife that can cut and maybe more than just a few sachets of instant coffee being provided would make staying here a lot more comfortable (and would be easy for the property to do).

Motel rooms very outdated and dark. Seems to be the case in most places in New Zealand.

The room had everything I needed. The facility was clean, the staff were all friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. Had the best 3 nights sleep ever. No cat to wake me up. The location was within walking distance to my daughter and the shops. I highly recommend this motel for anyone who wants value for money. This is the best place I have stayed in.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. I had better service at this motel than the hotel I stayed at in Wellington on a previous trip.

We arrived after hours. We could enter the room, but we had no internet access. The wifi login is in the shared kitchen, which requires a pass from reception to be able to enter. However, reception was closed because we arrived after hours so we had no wifi for the night. I find the lack of internet in lodging unacceptable in today's age. There is no excuse not to provide the wifi login inside our room.

No breakfast but full kitchen appliances. Shops nearby. Pool available. Tv good

Other than local buses no transport from this site to any popular places up the coast.

Nice and comfortable

Tried to do the dishes but no plug in the sink and could not get the stove to work no instructions would rather had a microwave

Our stay was good and comfortable. The beds and pillows were comfy, the lounge area was great, good water pressure in the shower and overall a good stay - the staff were friendly and accommodating - we would definitely stay here again

The oven was difficult to fathom - its new and pre-programmed and without the instruction manual its "guess work" in terms of temperature and settings

Turning right in the car out of there premises as was always very busy

My score reflects the size of my cabin, which was very cramped. Not all the cabins were so small, but I felt very miserable in it. I'm sure that most of the accommodation at this place was fine - I just did not like mine

Central to Richmond, was warm, staff were nice

The shower in unit 29 - the head of the shower kept falling off and was spraying water everywhere from the connections. Toilet didn’t flush that well and the tv took multiple attempts to turn on. Also had a big stain on the curtain

It had aircon as it was hot. Nice new kitchen. Handy to town.

Old and things were dated. Eg bathroom. Towels were discoloured from over use. Condiments were very lean. Three people staying but only enough items for 2. Not enough loo paper. Front unit’s noisey. Water blaster started up early morning

The situation suited the people we were visiting. It was clean and tidy.

The broken door into the bathroom. It has run off the track. It needs adjusting as it keeps running out of the track.

I had the mobility suite. It was absolutely fine. I especially liked the mobility park immediately outside the room that was always available.

The mobility shower was good, but had a problem with an unlevel floor that directed some water around and behind the toilet. Perhaps a notice to have the shower not turned fully on, and head turned down, would help. I have seen in one motel, a shallow threshold fixed to the floor outside the shower area, which would not interfere with a wheelchair. However, overall, this does not alter my overall assessment of an excellent motel. I was very impressive with the exhaust system for drying out the ensuite.

Great size rooms for a family, offered just what we needed for a few days for a sport competition, short drive to saxton field. Pool was great for a dip at the end of the day.

A bit unusual, but before the children went to bed there was a bit of noise and they discovered a trailer load of chickens which were quite loud had been parked next to their bedroom window, not very soundproof.
