The Beachcomber Hotel

Great location, friendly staff, and clean.

Very nice room but fraudulant booking.

The price quoted was $123 and we were charged $212!

This is a large Hotel. A little dated, but clean and tidy. Right over the road from sports fields at Tahunanui and maybe 200M from the beach. Goods eating places and bars near by.

No complaints on the stay. Apparently I got an upgrade, so I was expecting a bath.. Sadly, no bath. It was a large room with both a Queen and a single bed.

The Beachcomer is a great wee place for us when we have to work in Nelson. Unfortunately the place is always booked out when we come to Nelson, but thats a good indication of a great place.

The unit was very quiet and clean, easy to access and everything that we expected it to be. Ideally situated to enjoy the beach and nearby attractions. Great off street parking adjacent to our unit.

Mould on the bathroom windows with no ventilation via an open window, or fan in the bathroom. Very dated, stained carpet. Uncomfortable hard mattress.

Staff were excellent, especially the young girl in reception.

Unfortunately the room smelt ….. think it was the smell of cigarette smoke. The pillows definitely need replacing, and the lightbulbs in the bedside lamp were way too bright.

Shower pressure was non existent and when I told the lady when we left....she was uninterested!!

Location was close to many cafes and eateries

Tired decor. Ripped sofa was covered by a throw. Carpet is worn. Needs a renovation!

The location was fantastic, close to the beach and biking tracks.

A little dated, no outdoor space off the room.

Bed was comfortable

Shower head was broken, staff stated they knew about it when I mentioned it on departure (over night stay and only discovered that morning). Shower caddy was broken and over all cleanliness in bathroom not great. Dusty in room and pillowcase had marks on it

Lovely location close to the beach, we enjoyed walking to the beach. Easy access to town and Richmond. Quite quiet. Very clean, and good showers.

The mattress was quite worn and saggy on one side. Also, there was no waste paper basket in the bathroom, and the mirror was set very high, making it difficult for shorter people. WiFi was indifferent, sometimes good, lots of times poor

Good all round stay. Comfortable, clean room. Spacious and well located although not close to town. Good value.

Shower a bit weak only complaint

The room was well set up and large and sunny ☀️ I was upgraded to a large studio.

The water pressure in the shower was pretty poor.And the shower head kept slipping down the arm.

Great location, right across the street from the beach. Also had food around it. Liked the close access to hwy 6.

Place could use an update and renovation especially a new mattress. But it was clean.

Great location across the park to the beach. Handy to bars and cafes.

Looks a bit tired.
