538 Great King Motel

Excellent location with guaranteed car park.Very important with a hire car and parking on the street is challenging. Room, bathroom and kitchenette were all spotless. Beautiful peaceful garden in centre of the premises. Kent was fabulous helping us with any enquiries and another issue that we'd encountered on our trip which had nothing to do with 538 Grt King. Restaurant next door. We also bought snacks from petrol station two doors down. Easy 20 min walk to Dunedin train station.

Lack of flow through ventilation. No air conditioning and only a very small window to allow for fresh air

There was a musty smell that we could not escape and the price was expensive for the amenities available.

Central location- close to town, Botanical gardens and Otago university. Heated floor in bathroom (luxury!).Comfy bed, roomy and spacious. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely skylight. Wonderful green courtyard with places to sit and enjoy.

Do not judge a book by it’s cover. The room was so modern and fresh. The bathroom was top notch. There was no traffic noise and we had a great nights sleep.

Close to town, next to a cafe, easy to walk anywhere. Very friendly and helpful staff

A great motel. The room was large, clean and well maintained. A 15 minute walk and you are in the central district. There are wonderful restaurants within a 5 minute walk of the motel. The location is great to get to hikes or other activities by car. I would definitely stay there again!

narrow door to enter, with steep entry rampsteep ramp in corridor leading to the car park, we weren't informed of an alternative route

Close to town and family we were visiting. Easy to find with off street parking

Always very accommodating with requests, quick to respond, super clean and comfortable, newly renovated/refurbished. Lovely little courtyard with flowering shrubs.
