A really good location. A comfortable firm bed .

Nothing to dislike though it was rather tired and old fashioned.

    Responded quickly to requests

Window in toilet in unit seven even when closed lets in a lot of cold air

Spacious room, perfect for the whole family, with private parking and laundry installations.

The bathroom is quite old, the stairs are a bit dangerous as they are too steep with narrow steps. Also any noise from outside can be heard inside as if there was a window open.

location, friendly helpful staff and a nice cozy unit

We were in room 20. It was a nice loft-style room which felt nice and spacious. The area was within walking distance to the city and university.

The water pressure in the shower was extremely weak. Additionally, the shower handle would fall off, even when pushing it to turn off the water - it once fell on my foot which was extremely painful. I suggest getting this fixed ASAP. It would have also been nice to have a curtain over the top loft window as the light woke us up very early.

We had a small problem with the room but as the motel was full we couldn't move. Next day the staff attempted to move us but we were uncontactable. However we were offered a full refund for one day. Great service.

The location is great and the room is well equipped. The bed is comfortable. The price is competitive and acceptable.

    So far so good.

Room is very large and clean. I can see the towels are fully cleaned with good smell and very soft, not like other hotels which are hard. We got a loft which was so great. The whole building look very beautiful with the red color. Although it is relatively old building, we really enjoy staying in it. Price is great. We really love the design of stairs. The staff at reception is very friendly and provided a full description of the room.

Some facilities are a bit old, but it is reasonable given the building age, it is not a problem to us at all.

Room was big, roomy and clean. Very pleasant and helpful staff.

Very noisy, not so much the traffic noise, but people arriving after midnight, loud with door slamming, inconsiderate. Plus the seagulls sqwarking all night and someone on the drums also after midnight.Bed could have been softer, but I did manage to get some sleep from about 2.30am

Having stayed at Alcala 4 years previously it met all expectations and more...

The shower flow could be easier to manage.Parking is a bit tight.

Wxcellent location, neat and tidy, good service and value for money

    8JanePosted on: 1-13-2026

Very central. Loved the free laundry- never had that before! What a lovely touch.

Kitchen had very minimal crockery. Mugs too small. No frying pan- only a late electric frying pan which is too large. Need more pillows- 1 per person not enough. Missing a chair- only 4 stools for a 5 person family.
