Hotel St Clair

The view, comfortable bed, great location and friendly staff

The property is right on the boardwalk across the street from the beach. They have underground parking at the hotel for free. You also have free access to the salt water pool just down the street (2min walk) there is a cute cafe there as well. The bed is very comfortable the rooms are spacious and the view across from the ocean is fantastic. The shower has good power. There are several restaurants on the block including a Thai Vietnamese restaurant which was excellent Spirit house and a pizza restaurant The Esplanade which always also good.

The showers have good pressure but the design is poor as water goes all over bathroom floor. We got extra towels so we could mop up the floor. If you want to be handy to downtown this is not the property for you.

Nicely redone interior with lots of nice touches like fresh milk for tea/coffee. Great beach location with nice restaurants and saltwater pool nearby. Free parking in their underground garage but it does fill up- street parking was readily available nearby.

We got a luxury room at the top floor, which was very comfortable (bed, bathroom, etc.) and had a great stay. As we went into the new year, not much was open around the property so we could not enjoy the restaurant nor the salt-spa.

The staff was a bit short particularly at checkout, but this is only very minor.

The washing machine/dryer wouldn’t turn off, and the instructions didn’t quite match the settings on the machine itself but we eventually figured it out

Beautiful room with plenty of natural light. Comfortable seating and soft beds. Great water pressure in bathroom.

We liked the location on the beach and the hotel was very comfortable with a balcony. Staff was very friendly. Free garage parking on site.

Comfy bed, love the location, meals close by

First of all, the price is definitely worth it for this hotel! While on the high side, the location is stunning; basically right on the water, steps from the wall along the esplanade. Our room was on the side but from the balcony could see right to the water. Staff was friendly. Boutique hotel feeling. The bed was THE comfiest bed I think I have ever stayed in. Room was clean, kitchenette so nice to have, and large bathtub. Was also nice and quiet. Can’t say enough good things about this hotel!

Absolutely nothing.

We love coming to stay at Hotel St Clair when we visit Dunedin because of the excellent location and the fact that there are great restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

It's a shame you don't have Pay Wave for credit card payments.

The location is amazing and the room was very comfortable

I had prearranged our bags to be delivered to our room after our wedding which didn’t happen so we had to muck around when we arrived after midnight to get our bags from hotel staff when they were closed
