Arraial D'ajuda Eco Resort

The staff was amazing, the kids club was great, the food was excellent. We had a very good time!

The floor on the hallway old and was damage, not a good feel to walk to your room. The staff told us they were renovating the hallway this year.

Location, food was delicious.

Poor very poor room maintenance, not clean, need urgent remodeling, bathroom is a shame very dirty and oldfashion, poor overal maintenance and cleaness... and very costly!

Pool area is fantastic, as are the hotel grounds in general. Sunset is fantastic, as is the Aquapark. Transfer to Arraial's downtown in the evening is a big plus.Welcoming was wonderful from the ferry to concierge and reception. All very friendly and helpful.

Waiter service could be a tad better. Drinking water at least should be made readily available.Website, booking and pre check-in service need an upgrade.A self-service laundry for bathing suits would also be a big plus as the rooms lack sufficient space and facilities for hanging and drying.

It's a great place to stay with kids. Great leisure options, attentive staff and food was simple but delicious. Rooms, although a bit outdated, were very clean and comfortable. The view of the river was amazing. The access to the Eco park is a great plus.

Rooms need an update. I can see they are investing in refreshing some of the rooms so maybe it was just bad luck we got one of the old ones. Also be aware that if you are renting a car, the queue to the ferry from 5pm to 6pm-ish can be a nightmare.

Poor communication - for example, one day the pool became very green - there was no communication, and some children were in playing. Was it safe or not - I still don't know, I asked reception, and they didn't know either.The activities were poorly publicized and little for adults at night.

The hotel has an excellent location and is very good for families with children - they have good facilities and entertainment services for literally every age group, but especially for kids! The rooms are spacious and very comfortable & clean. The food is very nice and there is really a big choice of food there - everyone can find something suitable. The beach is very nice, staff very friendly & always smiley! Hotel offers free shuttle to the city & aquapark (free entrance), so this is a big plus!

The only issue we had was the communication problem with staff - majority of them did not speak or understand English, what makes it difficult for foreigner guests. Unfortunately, due to this we had a big issue with the payment during the check-out as it turned out we had to pay extra 500 USD for our meals which were not included in the initial payment. Though we have checked the meals plan several times with the local staff to see what was included and what extra, unluckily, due to the language barrier (as it turned out in the end), they misunderstood us and we got into a big trouble by paying quite a solid amount as an extra charge as a result! Another thing - soft drinks, including water are only included in the morning and you have to always pay very high rate for water and other drinks. This is totally unacceptable for a fancy hotel like this, so I think the hotel management should overlook this issue and find rationale solution...

So... the good. The rooms are really nice, the staff is friendly, the amenities are good, and the food is ok. The staff regularly host fun games/tournaments to keep you entertained.

The not so great: a lot of amenities are not on-site and require transportation to get to. They can provide it, but it'll take some time and scheduling to get there.And for the worst part: the resort likes to nickel and dime you to death. I thought this was supposed to be an all inclusive resort; it definitely is not.For one, they charge for ALL drinks (including water). I can understand charging for alcohol, but water? And they charged us 4.50 Reals per 500ml bottle which is outrageous (the price across the water in the touristy part of Porto Seguro was 3 Reals, and that was on the expensive side). They even charged this insane amount when we were eating at the buffet!Pro tip: walk out of the car entrance. There's a convenience store just outside the resort. I was able to get 3 1.5 liter bottles for 13.50 (that's 1.50 per 500ml). Don't get screwed by what the resort charges.Speaking of the buffet.... only breakfast plus lunch OR dinner (not both) per day are included in the listed price. We were charged 100 Reals per person if we ate all 3 meals at the resort (and that 100 doesn't include drinks; you're charged for those as well; even water). One of our friends even asked them what the situation with the food was, and they were told all meals are included. Then when we were checking out.... Surprise, there's an extra charge of 100 Reals per person per day!I thought it was on the expensive side before, but with all the extra, hidden fees, it's definitely not worth it. If they were up-front about the extra costs, maybe I'd consider it. But since they're hiding them, this 'resort' is a hard pass.

Location is perfect.

The food wasn't good enough. We came aspecually to have our grand chiled enjoying the water park which was advertised by the hotel. Unfortunately it was closed. Also most of the facilities were under renovation works most of the time which causes some inconveniences.

Beautiful sightseeing. Atendees are very kind.

Hotel and leisure equipments need refresh. For exemplo, the soccer court needs repair and was not full released to guests and sports balls were old. Recreation activities were poor. Food buffet are not health.. too much oil on grilled meat and fish.

So nice! The staff was incredible, the amenities were great, the pool was a dream, and the food and drinks were top notch! The pictures don’t do this place justice.
