toilet does not flash, had to hold the button in, around sower box could be cleaner

The size of the shower and big room..comfortable bed very good wifi.Nice stuff....

Everything is great but nothing to do in Invercargil just to pass by

Motel accomodation very clean, but tired and not good value at the rate I paid

The hotel has a bar/restaurant so we didn't have to drive out to find food after a long road trip; though the food quality is meh, probably would be better if we drive somewhere else.

The hotel is not at city center so nothing nearby to walk to. The decor is old fashion and a lot of black surface (curtain, pillow, paint, etc), which make the space feels dark. The pool and spa seem grungy so we didn't stayed long. I booked the hotel with breakfast, but breakfast is pretty mediocre, not worth the extra cost.

It was a very dated motel though couldn't fault it. The motel block was some distance from the main building including the restaurant. The heating in the bathroom was from a recalled branded heater and this was still connected. As an electrician my husband spoke to the manager about this. This was recalled about 2 years ago and should not be in use.

Arrived to be told that the motel was no longer Pet friendly and the dogs would have to sleep in the vehicle. We explained that this had not been conveyed when booking or when a phone call was made to ensure the booking was for Pet friendly rooms. We asked for a refund and took our business down the road to a much more accomodating facility

Cleanliness was sub par. Staff were recalcitrant.

Having bars, spas function rooms handy and very stylish.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. Shuttle van into town. Room comfy and warm. Sports bar fun and restaurant inside lovely. Must use the gym when i stay longer

Rm 21 Very windy conditions an annoying rattle outside bedroom wall, otherwise very good .

Hopfully a repair to noisy rattle on headboard outside wall.

The kitchen was laid out well. Sofa bed already made up. Kids loved that they could watch YouTube directly on the TV. Loved having a separate toilet and bathroom. We all enjoyed the in room spa. We've stayed at Ascot before

The creaky door to the bedroom made it hard to check on my son who was in the lounge on the sofa bed or to go to the toilet without disturbing him. We drove a Tesla down to invercargill. Unfortunately we were not able to charge at the town fast chargers as they were faulted. We knew we could charge at the Ascot but when we got there the charge box needed a special cable to charge which would have needed to be provided but the staff knew nothing about that. We did see another car charging the next day. Apparently it was only a new charge box so possibly all staff weren't briefed on it's operation. This caused quite a bit of stress but we made it to Bluff to charge there. Another issue was that we dropped something that rolled under the bed, I ran my hand along the edge of the single bed and almost sliced my hand on a piece of glass that a previous occupant had left there and housekeeping had missed. We were also a bit sad the kids couldn't use the pool as it had been booked out for a birthday party. It was done by 5pm but we had an event to go to which is why we came to invercargill overnight.

It was close to the rest home and cemetery we were visiting family

The breakfast was very simple, not much variety is you need GF and DF meals.We had major problem with pre-booked airport transfer, it never arrived. We had to quickly arrange our own taxi not to miss our flights.

Love that facility has a heated pool, gym, sauna and spa. Great for kids and adults

Large rooms and helpful staff. They suggested a room change that saved me money when they didn’t have to.

We were upgraded to a superior hotel room. It was spacious, quiet and very comfortable. Excellent bed, bathroom was very well appointed . The room service was fast and the best GF food. Thai beef salad and beetroot salad followed by crème brûlée and potted cheesecake. Exquisite, all of it. The staff were very friendly and professional. Well done Ascot. Thank you.

Stayed in the Old Motel part of the complex. Very spacious rooms with small kitchen; hot plate, microwave, etc. The location and accommodation worked out perfectly for our small group. The staff were very helpful and there is a restaurent on-site, in the main part of the hotel only 3 minutes walk - well priced & diverse menu. Definitely would stay there again.
