Pros +

  • I visited Casablanca for a business trip and Hotel de Paris was my place of stay. This was my first ever visit to Casablanca and Morocco, so I picked the hotel based on the previous hotel reviews, breakfast reviews, cleanliness, and overall value as those were the things most important to me. Hotel staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. No matter what was in question they were quick to answer and help out as much as possible. I would also like to give praise to a guy named Sofraine, he is a very nice person and gave me a lot of recommendations for places to visit on my trip as well as tried his best to help, when help was needed. All in all, the hotel staff was amazing, they deserve all the praise and Sofraine just a tiny bit more above the others! Location of the hotel is also great. In terms of what you should visit in Casablanca, it's very close to most of the places that should be seen/visited. Some places were within walking distance and for some others, taxis are preferred, but at most 10-15 minutes drive away from the hotel. I recommend visiting Hassan the 2nd Mosque, Rick's Cafe (place where a big part of the movie "Casablanca" was filmed) and El Hank lighthouse close to the beach where you can also have a beautiful view of the ocean. Cleanliness of the hotel was on a level I've rarely seen before. My visit was a business one, and a lot of work that I've been doing was in the morning hours when I was away from the hotel. Every time I returned to the hotel my room was cleaned without exception. Not only that, but towels were replaced every single day. I was always in a clean room and always had new towels should I need them for a shower. This is an enormous plus in my eyes. It made me feel like I'm at home and not in a hotel. I wish I could give Hotel de Paris double maximum grade for cleanliness, they deserve it, everything was flawless in this regard.
  • Everything was great! Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and location is convinient. It's about 15 minutes walk from Casa Port station and there are lots of restaurants and shops around
  • The location and staff are great; especially Sofian and brahim. (Very helpful guys.) Good breakfast, which included eggs, jam, croissant, toast, and coffee.

Cons -

  • There were only three things I disliked about the hotel, but they weren't total dealbreakers and the hotel made up for them in other ways. First, you will see in the pictures I've posted along with this review, a picture of black metal looking stairs that go in spiral. That was my view through the only window in the room. So, you are not going to be seeing much of the natural light through your window. That is somewhat of a bad thing. The second one was noise. The hotel staff recommended a room on one of the highest floors (5th floor out of 6 in total, if I'm not mistaken) that isn't looking at the street so I could avoid hearing a lot of noise coming from the clubs in the vicinity of the hotel. While recommendation was on point in a sense of not hearing the music and noise from the clubs, I was left dealing with a different kind of noise. Since I was almost at the top of the hotel, early in the morning you can hear pigeons cooing. Now that isn't a problem if you wake up early, but if you have time and prefer to leave some more for sleeping, you will probably find pigeons quite obnoxious. I guess this could be dealt with by those spiky things which deter pigeons from landing on the roof. And the last thing is breakfast. Don't get me wrong, breakfast was really nice, but you get the same breakfast every day. Since I stayed in the hotel for a week I wished for some variety. Those were the things I disliked. As I said, they're not dealbreakers by any means, but they leave you with something to be desired
  • Some piece of furniture looks worn and could be renewed, but it's not critical
