Original Sokos Hotel Seurahuone Kotka

We had a lovely stay. The front desk staff was absolutely wonderful. We were given an upgrade unexpectedly. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We will definitely return.

The staff are very helpful and especially dealing with our overseas guests and communicating back to our HQ to fulfil all needs for a successful business trip.

Breakfast, most food was out, very slow dish cleaning, very bad scrambled eggs. small selection of toiletries in room.

The reception lady was very helpful and patient, although I wasn't the easiest customer on that day. The location was great and the breakfast was excellent with a good selection of delicious food. The restaurant where the breakfast was served looked nice.

The airconditioning in my room was icy and could not be set. I needed to relocate to another room.There were strong kitchen odours from the restaurant downstairs in all the building and the staircases.

Too little storage/hanging facilities. Room not totally cleaned (floor had dirt on it), not all blinds worked

Hotel was super comfortable, room had everything required - multiple power points including usb points, internet enabled tv etc. the fact it had restaurants and bars of high quality but reasonably priced was additional bonus.

Car parking area can be better and improved. Otherwise no problem at all.

The breakfast was good. And the location was superb in the middle of the town.

The air conditioning system was not functioning and we had to ask for help from the staff. Even after that it was not good, because the temperature of the room was not possible to choose normally.

The breakfast was quite simple for 4* hotel. Price is high taking into account that parking costs additionaly 15 euro.

The staff were very polite, friendly and approachable. They had some good advice on what to do and what to see for a short stay / visit.

The air conditioning system in the room made a lot of noise, not referring to the 'fan' noise, but the switch board or something else that kept engaging and disengaging.There was no way to get any fresh air in the room as the windows were kept locked. It's a pity not to be able to enjoy the cool evening breeze and save some energy by switching off the air conditioning system.
