Scandic Joensuu

Room was clean and with quality sleep in a good bed. Sauna was really good!! Breakfast had everything we wished for. Thank you!

Tbh too expensive for what its worth, basic hostels are the same/better than this one. Not that updated.

My stay at the Scandic Joensuu was quite enjoyable. The hotel's central location is very close to train station and the University. The room was clean and comfortable, providing a peaceful night's sleep.The breakfast buffet was a highlight, offering a wide variety of delicious options. The staff were friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay.While the room size was a bit on the smaller side, it didn't detract significantly from the overall experience. Overall, I would recommend the Scandic Joensuu for a pleasant stay in Joensuu

Dodgy route to the sauna through parking garage etc..not very nice.Restaurant a bit..retro? Slightly odd decor.

Cool hotel, clean rooms, comfy bed but the staff could be a bit friendlier.

The hotel was in city center of Joensuu, you can walk anywhere. Free parking lots was so useful!

The room was minimal and did not have any kettle so that I could make a night tea before bedtime. Shower had low pressure, so it was unfriendly for long hair.

- The location was great and very close to shops and restaurants. Everything was within walking distance. - The staff were nice and helpful- They located the room in a quiet area (far from street noises) and gave extra pillows as I asked earlier. - The breakfast buffet was also great, varied choices to make. - The hotel offered bicycles for free to explore the city.

- The room was a bit smaller. - They promised to put the twin beds together, instead of giving a king-size bed as asked earlier, but they did not do it. We had to do it ourselves putting those beds.

Interior of the room was a bit old fashioned and everything in general wasn’t very modern

Breakfast hours were not very long. Suggest open until 930 or 1000 AM

Very basic and plain. Less than average breakfast. Nothing particularly bad, but it felt very 1960's, without the good bits.

Rooms are nice, Clean and with good space, The breakfast it's very diverse and offer variety , the amenities are on point. the establishment is clean in general, and the sauna it's quite impressive

Would be nice to have laundry available for long stay-visits

Very good breakfast and very good personnel. Good service. Hotel itself was a bit worn from general areas but room itself was tidy and good.

Perfect location, the room was clean and modern, breakfast had a lot of variety.

The convertible chair was quite small for a 10 year old’s bed. She fitted, but there was not a lot of room for her. She is small, so for a bigger child I would say a real bed is better.

I hoped for more vegetarian options at breakfast but apart from that the stay was great.

They advertise free parking but in reality the amount of free parking space is very limited and works as "first come first serve" basis. The rest have to pay the usual fee of parking in the city

The breakfast was excellent, the location was within a 15 minute’s walk from the station. The staff we dealt with were very polite and professional and helpful. The hotel is located on one of the main streets and the walk down to the Marina is very easy, down the main street, to a park and turn right.
