The Wood Hotel by Elite

Beautiful hotel, clean, comfortable, quiet rooms. Setting views of the window. The most incredible Scandinavian breakfast I’ve ever had. The food is locally sourced and clearly labeled. Huge variety to choose from. You can make your own waffles.

The only thing that I didn’t like is that I have to leave after only one night.

Breakfast is kind of special but also miss oatmeal (warm - very Swedish), eggs that are soft boiled, soft bread from north of sweden and fruits and fruit sallad

- Room was great- View from the upper floor was stunning- Perfect location to start trips, especially by public transport, and to go from/to the airport- Very good option for adults- Delicious breakfast if you want to try local food, but terrible coffee- Very kind staff

I would not recommend this hotel for families with small kids. There is nothing for kids in the hotel (only a little bit in the library downstairs). People working at the reception desk know nothing about any attractions for kids in the city. Breakfast is also not so much for kids.The only swimming pool is on the roof (20th floor) in SPA, is additionally paid (250 SEK for hotel guests during week), and only for adults (but it's great for adults) - happily there is Eddahallen in a walking distance, and it's very inexpensive.

Annoying red light on the telephone in your eyes all night long - had to cover over with cloth to sleep

Easy to walk around the area

Manager agreed to give me compensation after an issue we had during our stay one month ago now. Have chased multiple times via email and still no progress with this at all. Very disappointing customer service.

Nice and fresh, really good breakfast and a lovely staff

Usually I am not found of big hotels and prefer smaller family run businesses. But this one is absolutely amazing if you are interested in architecture. The whole structure is in wood, and this is well visible from both inside and outside. Everything was top: comfortable, quiet, a very good restaurant in 4th floor.On top of this, the breakfast was truly unbelievable. Swedish breakfast in hotel are usually very good but this one topped absolutely everything I have seen before in variety and quality of locally sourced, homemade dishes.

Great calm space, excellent breakfast area and spa

There is no sound proofing between floors. I would not recommend staying until this is fixed.

Breakfast is perfect

Really good breakfast. What a great looking hotel with all the wood.

The room was very loud. We could hear people from the room beside at 2 am. We could also gear very clear when people above flushed the toilet. Lastly, the aircondition was too loud.

It’s great building, in a great location, the room is basic but nice Walls are made of timber so it makes it feel more special The shower is niceAnd big full height windows so it’s great waking up to the view

It’s ashame that the spa / sauna is not included in the price It would have made the experience that much better

Clean, smart, all made of wood which is incredible at 20 stories high.

Minor mix up with rooms.

Its like all other Elite Hotels with a unique theme offering top service, great rooms and wonderful breakfast the location cannot be better since the hotel is centrally located. As always a satisfied customer.

Great breakfast, beautiful building

No on-site parking, overpriced for level of service and quality of room.

The hotel feels really modern, clean and the lighting and decor is really pleasant (like Nordic spartan), both in the rooms and the general areas. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The foyer has a nice sitting area with arm-chairs, couches and faux furs. You can also grab a beer at the adjacent Paolo's and enjoy it in comfort.The in-house restaurants are handy and the food was quite nice, especially in the Miss Voon restaurant at the top of the hotel - great view from up there too. The breakfast was really good. A good mix of foods, juices & hot drinks with different dietary options too.Handy case storage behind reception if you check out and have time to kill. Its in a very convenient location, as the bus terminal is about 200m away, and you are situated right in the heart of town.It's also a stop for the Skelleftea airport shuttle bus, which is ideal.

Nothing comes to mind. It was one of the better places I've ever stayed in.The mini bar items are very expensive, but that's not unique to this hotel.

The spa on the top floor was awesome.

The gym is very much below average. Small space and very limited equipment. I like to train when I stay at a spa hotel, I didn’t even bother at this hotel.

We got upgraded to a great view and a nice room. Liked the breakfast with a large selection including a section of pickled vegetables as a surprise and a waffle station as a nice add on.

Two days the water pressure in the bathroom was really weak, just a trickle of water came out, and I had already put shampoo in my hair, which was rather annoying. I was later told it was due to the towns water pressure dropping suddenly which I thought was a bit odd as it didn’t affect any of my friends staying elsewhere

The offering of the breakfast is plentiful and varied. Loved the waffles and the savoury.

Coffee is not up to par for someone used to espresso type of coffee.
