Pros +

• Breakfast was simple but delicious - good variety and always on time - - once of the main road you had 3 shopping malls to choose from - you could walk to the beach or get a cheap ride - Maggie the helper deserves a gold star for all her kindness and hard work - WIFI, fans and air-conditioning all good. I love reading so it was great to see a shelf of books.
• The property is in perfect, calm, safe location. 10 min walk to the beautiful beach. The host was super nice
• the housekeeper, the only staff present in the place (the owner/manager is not present). welcoming, professional, house very clean thanks to her WIFI was not perfect as often in Kenya but was OK

Cons -

• the road from the main road to the place was a bit rough but o.k - I think they need to add to the address viz. at the Premier hospital on the link road turn left and go through the security gate then straight down and turn left and E06 on the right is the place
• I had booked for two nights a room with a terrace looking out onto a quiet street, with aircon and TV, and with a breakfast included. This was the precise description of my room WRITTEN on booking.com page and on my reservation. But no room in the house has balcony or terrace. So its just a false description. The room I was given for two nights did not look out onto a quiet street, but it was at the rear of the house facing and nearly stuck to a huge building. So no light, no air, a lot of noise and no privacy. Other rooms in the house did look out onto the quiet street but the owner didnt give me one of them despite my claim and my written reservation with clear description of the right room. She gave these rooms to friends or maybe just better traited guests. the description said there was a TV. Actually there is, it works but not a single channel available (rights not paid) so no TV in practice (not an issue for me, I dont watch TV) the room was said to have aircon but you have to pay 1 000 KS per night to use it. And the room stuck to a huge building with no air is very very hot. I didnt use it but the equipment looks very old. For info, I spent nights in a flat in another place where you have to prepay your power account. A full night with aircon costs less than 200 KS for power energy. So 1 000 KS doesnt represent the cost of use. The establishment can obviously charge any rate for aircon but this rate should be clearly given in the description of the room on booking. no hot water in the shower but the water is not so cold and the climate is hot so not an issue for me. The breakfast I was given was the lightest I had in one month travelling in Kenya. I dont recommend to take the room with breakfast included. the pictures of breakfast on booking are all false. you have a small bowl of the obvious watermelon (cheapest fruit), no other fruit. One small glass of juice (was good) and three small and plain pancakes (nothing to put on).
