Original Sokos Hotel Royal

Breakfast was great and the staff was friendly. The sauna on the top floor had beautiful views!

I think everyone should have received slippers and bathrobe. It is silly to charge 5 EUR for the use of a bathrobe to walk to or from the sauna.

Lovely modern hotel right in the centre of Vaasa. Our room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Very friendly, helpful staff. Excellent range of vegan foods at breakfast. There is paid parking nearby under the market place - we paid at the hotel reception and I thought it was a reasonable price.

I didn't realise there were 2 Original Sokos hotels very close to each other and they both use the same car park. It confused me a bit but they do clearly signpost the reception from the cark park.

The list is long; excellent touch-control and motion sensitive lighting, hotel remained pin quiet throughout the stay, everything was new, clean. Sauna was easy to operate, smart large showers. Vaasa is an interesting, historically rich, smaller city- and hope to return. Great hotel for longer stays due to 0 frustrations.

Fresh and nice view, amazing breakfast, beautiful interior. AC in the room. Great location, as central as it can get.

The rooms were so well organised, sparkling clean and most of all the scrumptious breakfast ? ?.we requested for an early check in and we got it without any extra charge that was really amazing.

Good location . Nice well maintained building. Very friendly and supporting staff. Very positive vibe . Very nice people behavior every one talks politely.

Great room, the hotel has recently been refurbished, even had my own sauna in my room!

Location is excellent, conveniently located near Vaasa city center and station

the building is little old, the carpet etc...hence it does not feel value for money, the rates can be little lower due to this.

The Hotel was closed over New Year and we were automatically rebooked to the Sokos Vakuuna Vasa Hotel. Our stay there was great (good breakfest, nice sauna area and very nice staff).

Really dirty room - toilet wasn't cleaned at all, hairs all over the bathroom, disgusting. Personnel at the check in and check out wasn't supportive.

We had a HUGE problem figuring out how to get into the hotel. The main entrance was blocked off to car traffic for construction of a new outdoor public plaza, and there was NO signage as to where to park or where the entrance to the hotel is. We went through what looked like a service entrance and ended up wandering around and then through an underground tunnel between buildings for at least 15 minutes trying to find the check in desk. Signage was non-existent, a very frustrating experience and terrible first impression of an otherwise lovely hotel.

A big plus is the presence of a pool and a long time to visit it. Everything else was as expected.

Access to the Original Sokos Hotel Royal Vaasa is difficult due to road repairs. This is not stated when booking.
