Location and fantastic breakfast

Bathroom smelled a little funny (before we used it)

There was a mix up by them in xheck which lead to me standing waiting while they sorted it out. The room was ok except for noisy pipes that disturbed my night, all night.

Breakfast, dust in the room

The hotel is close to the train station and a short walk to get there. Room was good, and I used Chromecast to watch movies streamed from my iPad.

Breakfast during the week is 6am, which is ok, but Saturday morning it starts at 7am which to me was too late. I had quite a big suitcase as I was travelling for 2 weeks in Northern Europe coming from a hot climate. The footpaths from the station to hotel were covered in ice and it is not the easiest to pull a suitcase along. My suitcase had to be cleaned at the next stop as the bottom was covered and salt and mud walking to and from the train station.

Disappointing

Very old room. Uncomfortable bed, noise, breakfast time.

The staff was friendly

The room did not have a window in its usual meaning. It was very disappointing.There was noisy construction work outside - no warning at the time of booking There was no room cleaning because "somebody" hung a Don't Disturb tag on the door. I wonder who that could be

Not worth the price

The room was badly cleand. The first thing i noticed when i enterd the room was that someone wiped snot on the wall/door. Felt uncomfortable the whole stay.

Stay was good

Car parking is expensive . They offer on the road side and it is 24hrs . It is costly . Luckily I found the cheapest one about 5 to 10 minutes walk.

I got sick because of the air conditioning, it is not possible to turn it off in my room, Scandic has a centralised Switch for whole building, so if it turns off it will go off for every room. Anyway, I got sick and I was supposed to be there for 4 days wokshop.

Central location.

Noise coming from a construction site next to hotel. It was impossible to sleep after 7.00. Premium room with sauna and jacuzzi was quite small.

The breakfast was exceptional for this kind of hotel. Only small complaint is that the hotel pushed for seat reservation, but then didn’t reserve anything

It was bit of a maze walk to get to the room.

Disappointing

Two sleepless nights because of noisy ventilation. There is dust under the bed in the room. Horrible.

The room was tiny but cosy and stylish at the same time, nothing unnecessary but everything you need. It was really quiet and the bed was good, we slept very well. The room was also ready earlier than at 3pm - we could check in already after 1pm!The breakfast had lots of options even for vegans, one of the best breakfast buffés I’ve had.

Our room was located a bit in a bit difficult place where you had to take two different elevators and walk around the whole hotel to get there. Nothing too bothering but not too easy to get there.There were not enough tables at the breakfast so we had to sit at the reception right next to the main entrande door. It was quite chilly when there were -20 C outside.

The staff are very helpful. The room with jacuzzi and sauna is so nice. The kids love it and enjoyed much. The location is really good.

The "Superior-perhehuone" we had an awesome bathroom. Normally I don't like dark / too stylish bathrooms, but this was tastefully dark-tiled. Had a jacuzzi for two as well as a small Finnish sauna. Had a very pleasant evening / night there.Had to leave before the breakfast was open, but the staff provided us with packed sandwiches, also in dairy-free version.Restaurant: tried the chanterelle soup and the smoked salmon, both were nice.

The air-conditioner gave weird noises even when switched off.The restaurant had only one waiter in the beginning, service was somewhat slow until the 2nd waiter arrivved.

Nice quiet room

They advertised restaurant and bar. Both were closed.

Perfect location. very good breakfast. Nice staff.

Breakfast Menu was good.

Old building, road noise, lifts confusing, reception busy, staffs helpful but overwhelmed and need to multitask to provide support. Scandic Vaasa needs more personnel especially during summer season. Hotel does not have parking but paid parking available nearby.

It's an ok hotel, but it depends which part of your room is. The newer part of the building is great, the room was spacious and modern. On the other hand the room in the older part was badly outdated. The breakfast was average. The reception staff was excellent and professional.

Location.

Plenty of problems. - There was no Aircon the room, so it was very hot. After complaining, stuff brought us a fan. - Mini bar didn't have electricity. - The elevator didn't work so it was very difficult to move to a 5th level with a baby, baby buggy and our luggage. Good exercise thought...
