    Pros +

    • Location on the Indian Ocean and location in Dar es Salaam. Gardens are beautiful.
    • My daughter loved this place. The location and the decor are what she raved about most
    • It could only be in Africa. The garden is beautiful. The restaurant is rustic and cozy. The food is delicious. All of the employees are very friendly, smile allot and are helpful. This place is for you if you want a small, cozy, cultural experience rather than a large tourist hotel that could be anywhere in the world.

    Cons -

    • The price I paid was considerably more than projected on the webstie. Breakfast was not inclueded, standard for hotel stays of this class in Dar es Salaam. Breakfast charge was excessive for limited protien options. $100+ stolen from my suitcase in room
    • The security was strict, she found this to be both a plus and a minus
    • The rooms seem run down and not properly cleaned. Not so child friendly with a very small, run down playground.

Very kind and sweet people, also I loved the nature set up and place being clean

Washing room utilities were not cleaned well I.e., washer head was rusty, toilet flash was not working properly and water was leaking whole time (noisy and west of water).

Great location on the beach. About an hour from the airport in light traffic (by Dar standards) but prepare for a long commute if during rush hour. A lovely Italian restaurant. Staff are very nice and pleasant and can arrange airport transfers and some day trips. Rooms are comfortable. Good views, peace and quiet.

The location of the restaurant was incredible with the waves from the Indian ocean lashing against the glass walls while we sip our beer, enjoy our food!

Access to a good beach which felt safe would have been nice!

Loved the spacious room and most of all the outdoor area right outside the room where you can sit and relax. The bar/restaurant was excellent.Staff was friendly and welcoming. Each breakfast I was stunned by the view of the bay.

Keep in mind the tides. If you're going in early September and will have to leave the premises starting from 8am to 6pm then probably you won't get a chance to walk by the beach. High tide in the morning and high tide in the evening meaning the water level is right up to the edge of the hotel. This is something to keep in mind but absolutely no fault of the hotel!

    Friendly staff, beautiful location.

    Limited swimming pool hours...

    8VogelbacherPosted on: 7-10-2025

Breakfast buffet was delicious as were all the meals we ordered off menu. View of beach was pretty. There’s no private beach, so keep that in mind. We got a couples massage. Very nice!

Water pressure in shower could be better. Wish the pool could be enjoyed later into the evening hours.

The ambience especially the greenery and beachfront.Staff are very courteous

Salty water in the taps then hotel provides only two small bottles of water per day. Brushing teeth, bathing with this very salty water uncomfortable. When you make tea with milk it goes bad due to salt in the water...do something about it.

Staff were very good! Shout out to Evita, Mica, Judith and Adbul (server)! Quiet property....you can get a restful sleep!

Beautiful location right by the beach.Warm, helpful, and accommodating staff.Lovely restaurant and views of the ocean.

The bed could have been cozier/softer. Breakfast was incredibly disappointing and definitely not worth what I paid for.

The location, the scenery, the maasai, the staff

The food ...pizza was good tho

Good location and nice staff. But do not expect any luxury from breakfast. The rest of the menu is very good

Beautiful plants and fliwers. Romms ok. Food with an italuan owner , good

With glasses shielding the sea from the property renders it very unattractive. You are hot, n those glasses stop the wi d, the fresh air. And when you feel asphyxiated, you go to the pool, and it us warm/hot, rather than refreshing. So for me, no thank you, not for me

    5ManfredPosted on: 3-27-2025

WLan weak - shower old - AC damaged first room , had to change - safe non of the safes works - Breakfast 3 slices bread 10$ !!!!!! NO joke ...

it was ok - the location is good..

    7MayaPosted on: 3-24-2025

The beach was clean and quiet and swimming pool was fantastic for an afternoon dip. I enjoyed their cocktails the most!!

The breakfast was not as exciting as I expected for a boutique hotel.

    10ChrisPosted on: 3-21-2025

The restaurant and rooms were great.

The massage staff were fairly rude.

    8PetraPosted on: 3-20-2025

The whole hotel itself was quite nice, big yet not imposing, comfortable, lots of places to casually sit with family or friends.

my only complaint would be the A/C unit in our room was quite nosy. Had we stayed there for more than one night, we would have insisted on a different room.
