    Pros +

    • The Hotels location is very good, right at oystery bayThe rooms are a bit old but still decentThe beds are comfy and the staff was overall very helpfulthe gym is one of the most famous in town so that was wow
    • Location was near to the shops, coco beach and facilities. Free membership whilst you were staying for the gym, health club and swimming pool. Restaurant and food was good. Staff very nice. Rooms were big with own small kitchen.
    • The hotel has very nice facilities and its staff is outstandingly friendly and helpful at all times. The rooms are big, well furnishes and very comfortable. The breakfast is nicely diverse, with plenty of high quality options. The location of the hotel is very convenient in the Masaki area, quite close to restaurants, supermarkets, and business areas.

    Cons -

    • I didn't get a wakeup call, which I reminded them twiceThe receptionist ran after me for the expenses which I paid last night to his colleague, and he was sitting right next to him during that time, which was kind of embrassing
    • Balcony was overlooking carpark and then road.
    • The maintenance to repair/correct issues takes longer than I wished. In separate days I reported problems with the toilet water supply valve dripping, and the A/C not cooling properly and making ice. In both cases, I had to report it twice to get it solved. On the last day I went for breakfast very close to the closing time (10 AM), and, without realizing it, they cleared up everything. I think this could have been announced, especially if there were a few customers still eating and perhaps willing to go for a last round. This is a pity especially as the food taken back was probably going to be thrown away anyway.

Excellent Staff, breakfast, restaurant, and food options- with a huge bonus being able to use the gym and pool facilities during our stay! I am thankful accommodations were made to let us stay at the rate stated through Booking.com and their flexibility and understanding to allow us to extend our stay.

Breakfast is decent, but they need to improve on the Tea offering as Tanzania is famous for their Tea which is missing and Coconut water for breakfast.

The fruits at the breakfast is not UpTo the mark

Breakfast was outstanding - different each dayGym is phenomenal - excellent variety of equipment for any time of training you need. Dry and wet sauna included

I would change up the music near the elevators so its not the same song over and over.

It’s a great location . And the restaurant has good food . Best Sushi in Dar.

It had a strong moldy smell in the room.

    8EdwardPosted on: 2-20-2025

Very nice and comfortable hotel. It is in a good location, close to shops and entertainment places. The beach is not too far away.

The breakfast could be better. I could do with a wider variety of cerials, including oats.

The location of the hotel and the food in the Kalypso restaraunt are good

There aren't enough toiletries and the AC wasn't clean. The room I was given had a heavy smell, it lacked the smell of fresh air.

The hotel is good, spacious and clean rooms. The staff is kind and available.

They could apply reuse towels policy to decrease water and resources usage.

    3DickPosted on: 2-10-2025

The room was quiet, and there was this lady cleaner who did her work with a lot of dedication. The reception team helped me get where I can go shopping, and I am grateful for that.

Waaaa, everything else. I arrive, and I am told they sent a taxi to the airport when I never confirmed the order, and the guy wants me to pay for it. Then they have a place where everyone should be enjoying, and they allowed people to take shisha oh my God the rotten smell and the only hotel I went to that does not have body lotion and one day as I was sleeping they come and take away the towels so when I wake up I have no towels.

The bar and the restaurant were great, breakfast was a small variety but tasty.Access to the gym and pool facilities next door was nice.

Way too overpriced for what you get. The seal in the shower leaked a decent amount of water into the bathroom and even into the room.Bed unfortunately was quite hard.

    The staff were friendly

They could improve the breakfast the menu was very basic

    8BerthaPosted on: 12-31-2024

Location was good. Breakfast could have had more variety in terms of English breakfast items and some breakfast items were running out before time.

    8AnnettePosted on: 10-22-2024

    The breakfast was very good

Kalypso restaurant. I ate there the 4 nights I stayed. The first 2 meals were very good. The last 2 were lousy. I think they changed chefs!

Nice food and pleasant roomVery good sports / gym area and swimming pool

    8JonathanPosted on: 10-3-2024

Staff were wonderful. The restaurant was excellent. The gym and pool are very nice quality. The spa is amazing as well. The woman who operates it is Balinese and gives a good experience. Overall, the hotel is a very good choice when staying in Dar.

Rooms are a bit dated. You can easily find places that are as good or better rooms for more than half the price.

    9EkinPosted on: 9-30-2024

    Everything, the restaurant is amazing.

Rooms are a bit old and there are no irons or sewing kits which are expected to be in a four star hotel room.

    8PetraPosted on: 9-28-2024

Nice hotel, smooth check in, clean and big rooms, good location, professional reception.Good value for the money.

The breakfast was under average for the level of hotel itself. Half an hour before closing there were missing basics like bread and butter, when I asked they said they don't have anymore.
