    Pros +

    • The pretty view, animals/zoo experience and maintenance of botanical gardens
    • The staff at the animal zoo.
    • I like the view .I didn't like the hotel ambience.Hotel has to indicate that they don't sell alcohol in the hotel. Too expensive when you compare the services the hotel provided. The breakfast and dinner is very poor by the variety. Poor hotel. It is not in compliance with five stars hotel concept!!!!!

    Cons -

    • The road to get in/out of property was treacherous and no warning. Inaccessible without a 4x4. Hotel does not pick up calls or reply to emails. The food selection was very limited, poor quality, stale and significantly lacking for a five star resort. Cannot stress enough how awful the food was for what a five star resort expectation would be. No form of liveliness/entertainment and no water activities options considering is a beach resort. The sauna was not working and grubby. Pools had limited to no sun loungers, no ease of accessing towels.Rooms were missing since amenities such as shower gel, conditioner or iron (not a single one in the whole resort).
    • Bedroom linen was not very clean. Had some stains. Sometimes different staff have us different information so created a bit of confusion for us. We also wanted a specific accommodation and were willing to pay extra but was refused the opportunity even if it was empty during our whole stay
    • We didn't like anything except the occean view...the road reach in the hotel is in wearst condition you need four wheels drive vehicle!!!!

Nice scenic ambiance. .. well equipped rooms. Very cheerful staffs with professional attitude.. food was very good n tasty..chef was so co operative n very willing to serve us, asking our choices... The pools are so well maintained... kids were enjoying the cycling . The interaction at zoo with few animals like zebra, giraffe, impala etc was very touchy especially when u feed them n u r able to touch n feel them.. the experience was amazing... . loved the stay at Aya Sophia ?

Nothing to be very specific. It would be better if the condition of the road from the main road to the resort is made well..n during rainy season its so much water logged..

Great interaction with animal, good facilities in general, friendly staffAllowed us a late check-in, as we were with 2 kids

Dinner and Breakfast buffer could be better Food overpricedToo much plastic used (all drinks are in a small bottles, no big water bottle available)Pool of the Royal VIlla is not great, not sunbeds available next to the poolBe alert - zebra bites!

    The beach and greenery

The food is mediocre. The staff need more training.

    Great stay

Directions are not clear! They need to have clear, seen boards directing from the main road to the hotel gateEasy to get lostDispensors in the toilet are wrongly labeled! One with soap has been labelled lotion

Everything. A big selling point at Aya Sofia are for sure the animals. They have giraffes, zebras, antelopes, ostriches, all very friendly and great at posing for pictures. Their keepers are extremely knowledgeable, good English, great entertainers, they explain about each species and assist you while you feed the animals. At Aya Sofia there are only a few exclusive beautiful villas located in a perfectly maintained garden. Peacocks and grey crested cranes roam around. Overlooking the sea, there is a big pool and a restaurant The food is fresh and tasty and prepared with love by their very skilful chef. You can spend your days peacefully listening to the sound of the waves while pampered by the staff who is not only highly professional but also extremely kind. They will go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and looked after.Last but not least, the villas are just perfect, equipped with all you need, very very clean and comfortable. High ceilings, tasteful designed, super quality, attention to detail. Aya Sofia is not only a hotel, is an experience. I highly recommend it to anyone who is in the area and would like to spend a few very special days

The restaurant waiters and zoo men were amazing.

    Some bathroom equipments were broken.

    8VinnyPosted on: 4-17-2023

Location, facilities, rooms, the zoo and the free bike rides, the sauna, and the swimming pools. These were all excellent! and i would highly recommend.

The food could have been better. I think this is the only thing they need to improve on. The breakfast wasn't great and the dinner was mediocre.

The place was gorgeous. The staff was friendly, and I loved the experience of feeding the animals.

I didn't like how the hotel was so far out.

The WIFI is not so strong in some areas.

Its very serene. The atmosphere is very relaxing

Staff were a little unprofessional, more training could be done to get them to international standards
