Giraffe Beach Hotel

Beautiful place to stay.

The beach close to the water was littered closer to the hotel was up kept but the closer you got to the water the more trashier it was.

Stayed for 4 nights with my family - 2 adults + 2 girls (15 and 11)Lovely hotel next to a great beach.I asked for side by side rooms and the ones we were given were perfect - two big, airy and comfortable rooms side by side with an ajoining door and sea views.Facilities were very good and the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. In particular I would like the hotel's management to know that the lady, Upendo, who cleaned our room was wonderful - very helpful and always with a huge smile!I would happily stay there again.

There were no towels, tv didn't work had ro ask staff for several things that should have already been in the room

They need to have room service since it was hard to order food late hours which is an issue for those with jet lag . We found ourselves eating at Ramada which is a hotel next to them

The rooms are clean, the premises is well maintained and we managed to use the Ramada Hotel swimming pool which was next to the hotel where they offer better fun facilities for kids as the Hotels swimming pool area was full with walk-in guest to use the swimming pool only.

The hotel is open for walk-in day guest to use the swimming pool compromising security and comfort of the hotel guests. I was charged $40 more on booking.com. It would have been better to book with the hotel directly. I hope I get a refund to keep me using your service.

The hotel is literally on the beach and it has a beautiful garden. The breakfast is ok, not amazing, but has both fresh fruits, omelettes, hot and cold options, and waffles/french toast.

The rooms are cleaned quite late in the day. This wasn't an issue for me as I was at a conference, but the room was often not cleaned until 4-5pm.

Too many flies and insects around the foodBreakfast juice could at least be fresh and cold instead of the syrup juice served.Fruit selection was also disappointing.3 hangers in the room for a 7 night stay is quite challengingNo hot water as an option even in the worst heat, I still want the choice especially late at night.

Nothing wrong with the property, is the staff. The people here, Slow and Lazy. wait until 5 PM to clean your room and every time I’ve come here I’ve had to wait for my room to be ready

The facility itself is nice, which is the only reason I continue to stay here, but the staff are incredibly unhelpful and unprofessional.Housekeeping is still cleaning rooms as late as 5 PM, so I often have to wait to check in. The front desk experience was just as frustrating. The woman checking me in was rude—she told me my room was ready but didn’t hand me a key or even tell me the room number. When I asked about it, she just turned away. Thankfully, another staff member noticed and helped me get my key and find my room. If she’s not willing to assist guests, why is she working there?On top of that, the fridge in my room was broken the entire stay. A maintenance worker came, mumbled something about returning, and never did. Then the phone in my room stopped working, so I had to call the front desk from my cellphone—only to find the line was busy most of the time.The lack of service and professionalism from the staff makes staying here frustrating, despite the nice facility.

Amazing facility, by the beach if you need a beach view. This is an amazing hotel. Also a well spread breakfast and affordable place to stay. Did a TikTok on it so if you want to see actual pictures, check my tick-tock, Monica_soft_life.

The flies at breakfast, but since it’s an open place at the beach I don’t see much to do about it but hopefully something is done about it. The food menu was also very limited so if you stay for a long time you will get bored.

Hi guys I had to book my stay twice, so basically it was a good one for me.left Zanzibar and still came back to the hotel, so overall 8/10

Poor arrangement they forced us to eat buffet while we want to eat food of iur choice...That was bad experience ever....The buffet was too expensive 100K tsh per person...Thats is total unfair we expect we will eat food of our choice and buffet supposed to be for outside custmers not indoors.Forcing us to eat menu from their buffet is total un acceptable.

The menu could have been better. If the hotel could work on the variety and quality of food, I would rate this place excellent. The breakfast buffet needs considerable improvement. For example, the juice for breakfast is canned while it could have been fresh one given the abundance of fruit in Tanzania.

The rooms are a decent size, fitted with aircon and a large shower. There is a restaurant on site as well as a pool and beach. There is a fitness centre with treadmill, weights and bike.

The hotel does not provide an iron , if you’re staying there and need ironing you must request laundry service. The breakfast as noted by other guests has limited choices, even the juice station had only 2 options. Rooms except the 4th floor have no cupboards.

The location was great, staff are friendly and warm.

The lack of irons in the room and forcing everyone to use the laundry services.

Breakfast was excellent and the location is perfect.

Some facilities in the washrooms were not regularly provided, e.g Toothpaste.
