- Fabulous breakfast and perfect location
- Leonardo and Edson always greeted us with enthusiasm every day and gave us the guidance we needed for an extremely successful and enjoyable trip in Cusco after spending my birthday in Machu Picchu.
- Amazing hotel with a prime location. King size beds are enormous, more like two kings together. Such a charming and historic and awe inspiring hotel
Cons -
- Lighting system-could. It turn on bathroom light without turning on all room lights
- We liked everything. The location is perfect. Over 10 restaurants and the Larco Museum within a hundred yards of the hotel.
- Nothing- it was absolute perfection

Location, front desk staff and restaurant staff
In-room dining options could use some variety. Getting still water in the room was a bit of an issue for some reason. Resolved a couple of days before checkout.
The customer service was the best we’ve ever experienced anywhere in the world. The breakfast was nothing like we had ever seen. The coffee tasting and dinner was over and beyond. I had altitude sickness and was brought oxygen to my room and everything else to help me get through.
Very friendly and professional staff.Amazing historical building. Breakfast is absolutely fabulous! A lot of options and great service.
The staff were wonderful. Helped us book things especially Roger who went out of his way to assist us.
Nothing - it was excellent !!
A fabulous breakfast each morning. All that you could possibly want or need. The service staff in the dining room were wonderful. Lots of options on the buffet and you can order freshly made eggs etc.
Not a thing! its a fabulous Hotel
location, staff and breakfast
bathroom was so small , one person could barely fit into it
Great location! Beautiful historical building! Very comfortable. Food really delicious. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful!
I had excellent experience with the staff from checking in with Roger/Bryan to the restaurant with Antony/Wilbert/Mario/Maria/Yolanda/Ghino. The room was phenomenal and house keeping did a great job. Thursday night the ‘special restaurant’ had an opera show with dinner that was special. Excellent experience.
Location, style, history, breakfast
Being inside a very old monastery of course it has a quite old touch not super modern
Love this historical building, and the hotel offered the daily tour to explain the history and artifacts of the hotel. Love the tour, and there was living music in the night while I was staying. Love to sit in the yard to enjoy the drink while listening to live music.
The bed and pillow was too soft and doesn't feel comfortable for me. Also, there was only one window in my room and it was next to street road, so it was inconvenient for me to ope window during the day.
Room was small, but clean.
Small and darker room
Everything top notch good attention to all details, amazing paintings around the hotel , great room! Outstanding breakfast , great service, airport shuttle great ! 1000% for everything !
Little pricy when you book day of your arrival , haha
The property is beautiful and the service above and beyondThe room is large and well layed outLoved the oxygen in the room which really helped our altitude sickness
Given how old the building is a few things are not functioning to its fullest such as shower water fluctuating and the hot water in sink was turned off when we arrived but is a minor inconvenience given how kind and friendly and prepared everyone was to helpIt is quite pricy but for a short trip totally worth it
Everything. This place is magical. Location + staff + breakfast + we had one of the best massages in this place.
this hotel is in a fab location, staff were very accommodating, ask for a tour! it's a fabulous historical building...beds were great, shower was good, beautiful place to relax and enjoy Cusco - would go back
restaurants were good but missed the mark a little
OMG - probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Everything is immaculate - building, location, breakfast, staff, services. Don't forget to visit their private church in the building. Kudos to David for very interesting organic coffee presentation. Everyting was perfect - there is not enough space here to list all positives.
Totally nothing. I wish the price was lower, but you get what you pay for :-)
Bryant the concierge was excellent and organized everything we needed around Cusco. The restaurant and food at the hotel is also excellent. Overall what makes this hotel special is the quality of the staff and the service received!
The wine selection is great but priced too high. I think the prices should be reviewed as I am sure there are customers like myself who love wine but didn’t buy from Monasterio but would have had the prices been more in line with other hotels/restaurants
