    Pros +

    • Very cute hotel located near the plaza for easy walking to explore Cusco. The staff were incredible, always helping us with any questions we had.
    • The service was great. We got sick and they worked with us to extend our stay 2 days. Manger was available and responsive via text. Lots of historic charm. Easy to walk to the main plaza and around town. Free breakfast and available to be brought to your room.
    • I loved the location, my room was comfortable enough. The breakfast on the balcony was lovely with simple but very good quality food.

    Cons -

    • There's no main reception desk, but it's pretty easy to find help with WhatsApp number
    • We stayed in two different rooms due to extension of our stay. One was on the street side and near the hotel gate. It could be noisy with people coming and going or being loud on the street. The other room was not street-side and much more quiet for sleep.
    • The room was dark with no good side table lamp for reading. The only window was on the veranda where other guests will pass through which lacked privacy. A good room if you only want to sleep and go out most of the day and night, not a room to enjoy and relax in.

This hotel was absolutely stunning! The architecture was so interesting and the bright colors made it so charming. Our room had a rooftop terrace where we ate breakfast each morning, and it had the most incredible views of the city. The room was very clean, the staff were so accommodating (even staying up until almost 2am to check us in!!), and the temperature control in the room worked very well.

The room that we stayed in was right next to the front entrance of the hotel. When people went in and out the front door it would slam shut, which we could hear quite loudly at all times of day and night. Other than the noise of the door, expect typical city noises (car alarms, occasional fireworks, etc.) as Cusco is set in a valley and the noise of the whole city echoes. Be aware that the walk from the main square to this hotel is up a steep hill!

The property was small and quaint, and Manuel, the manager, has paid great attention to detail. Our rooftop terrace was outstanding and really made our trip to Cusco!

We had a little issues with our room being too light in the morning but we used our eye masks and we were able to sleep just fine.

The hotel was very conveniently located near Plaza de Armas. The rooms were very comfortable, and the staff at Rumi Wasi were very helpful, attentive, friendly, and accommodating.

The place is amazing. Staff was incredibly helpful, breakfast was great and the bed was so comfortable.

Great location and staff was super friendly!

Washrooms could be cleaned slightly better. There was ants in my bedroom. Other than that, amazing! Sheets and towels were super clean with not a single stain!

Stunning boutique hotel just a short walk from the main square in Cusco. The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming, and breakfast is delivered right to your room at the exact time you request. The rooms feel like you’re staying in a museum—filled with artistic details and curated decor. Truly a special experience. I’d absolutely stay here again

Location was great, the staff was super helpful and friendly and the hotel itself is very beautiful! We greatly enjoyed our stay and liked the option to have the breakfast in our room, as well as the laundry service! Would definitely recommend Rumi Wasi

Our stay in Rumi Wasi was very good. Manuel was very helpful and the rest of the stuff too, especially when we needed help with storing our luggage to make trips elsewhere and come back to Cusco. The breakfast and the coffee was marvelous and it comes with a fantastic view if you have it at the balchony. The street where the hotel is located is very centtal but somehow quiet because its uphill from the main square where the fuzz is. Totally recommended!

Good breakfast. Made to order. Very attentive staff.

The room heater was not the best. However, kept warm with blankets.

Nice and comfortable room in a very good location.Manuel and his colleague were extremely professional, helpful and resolved all our questions/issues.

The staff is wonderful, polite, and very courteous. Manuel has a great team who will go above and beyond to take care of your needs. The location doesn't get better being 2 mins away from the center. I loved the interior with a variety of flowers and plants.

Brilliant location overlooking the city. Kind snd helpful staff. Breakfast in the terrace was amazing.

    Nothing not to like.

We liked Rumi Wasi. It is in a good location, a couple of blocks from the main square; you would not want to be right near the main square where it is noisy. It is peaceful at Rumi Wasi. You can easily walk to restaurants, and to many tourist sites such as Sacsayhuaman. We had the room with the roof deck, which was a nice space, but we couldn't get up there the last day because the remote control that opens the roof hatch was not working. Eating breakfast on the high verandah area was nice. Nice view. You didn't really see other guests at all, we were near the main door and so pretty isolated. Which could be good or bad, depending on what you want. The decorations were nice and the building is a charming old place.

The staff were very friendly and the location is great! The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast/sitting terraces have amazing views. They also do take and store your luggage if you are going to Machu Pichu or another overnight hike for no extra cost!

The hotel is such, that due to the fact of it being a colonial and therefore protected house it can’t have a reception desk. Not that this was ever a problem going in or out and Manuel was very attentive with this, but it was an issue when especially at night the door bell kept ringing for customers who were checking in for the first time, or those who didn’t use their key to come in. This was a nuisance when you were trying to get some sleep before a very early wake up call to go on a demanding hike. The other negative that I would just like to point out for future, is that the bathroom had no washing soap or shampoo at neither of our stays. We only had hand soap at the second part of our stay, no soaps to wash at all the first night.

Loved the terrace, room was clean and quiet (especially impressive because the bars are less than a block away!) and it was great to stay in a historical home.

Room was cold. The heater helped and my husband was fine but being a cold natured person, it was somewhat uncomfortable.

We stayed here for 6 nights in total with a trek to Machu Picchu in between. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and they let us store our bags for free until we returned. The ambiance of the interior courtyard and rooms is very authentic and appealing, the beds are clean and extremely comfortable and the hotel is within walking distance from the fun and lively main square (albeit uphill on the way home). We especially enjoyed the delicious and hearty breakfasts which were included.

At night, we had to walk through an area of nightclubs to get back to this hotel from the square which seemed a little seedy but we never had an issue. Also, it can be cold in the rooms and on the breakfast porch (we were there in July) but the individual heaters warm up the rooms nicely.
