- i loved this hotel, it felt like a home away from home. The staff was so friendly and welcoming I really enjoyed chatting with them as I came and went. The location was great and their breakfast was a great addition.

- No elevator so you must lug your suitcase up three flights of stairs. We stayed twice once before Machu Picchu and one after so when we came back I made sure to tell them not above the second floor.
- Cost was a lot for what you get for a room. No aircon/fan/water bottles and hot water didnt work
- breakfast is very basic. the bed is very short I have 186cm tall and my foot were in the air

I loved this place! The staff was super kind and helpful. It’s also super central and the rooms have a nice design.
It was clean, the room and bathroom were in great condition, cute, and functional.
No issues.
The staff , location and the service
Awesome location. Basically within walking distance of anything you could want to see, and plenty of restraunts. It isn't too noisy, and staff was friendly. The food at the restaurant in the hostel was always very tasty.
Might be a personal preference, but the beds were pretty stiff and firm.
Great location and staff.
The place is a little too quiet. It seemed like no one else was staying here. It’s the down season but the place was empty. No lights on at night. Most hostels have motion sensors so the lights pop on. I had to navigate in the dark and use my phone in dark hallways. The place is well used and could use a facelift.
1.)Chris gave us the best queen room. 2.)Chris was the most helpful frontliner of the hotel. 3.) Very chic hotel and close enough to all touristic places.
Some level of noise from backpackers even at 11 pm. Limited choice of meals at the restaurant.
Central location, great facilities, helpful friendly staff
The Location of the property is very central, only a short walking distance from the plaza de armas. The rooms are cozy and comfortable! Standards are european and the staff is incredible! Everyone speaks english and changes (like staying a night longer or adding another Person) were easily made and instantly offered when asked.
The rooms aren’t very isolated when it comes to noise from the outside. Because there’s playing music in the lobby constantly ist might be a disturbing during a nap around midday
Excellent location super close to the Plaza de armas. Convenient because all the tours were able to pick up from the hotel. Staff always available and always extremely helpful and kind. They also have a good laundry service which I found super helpful when you’ve been traveling for a while.
Sometimes the walls feel a bit thin but to be honest not a huge deal when you’re staying in a hostel.
Location, cleanliness
Scrapped the social part since the acquisition - welcome drinks were tea and there is no more bar nor common kitchen for the time being. Lights are off at night - common area is dark at 10pm hard to become social!
It was my first time staying at Selina. I really liked the care they put into the space, the common areas are comfortable and the dorm beds have a light, plugs and a curtain. I enjoyed having the yoga room with open access, especially after weeks of traveling. The staff is also super friendly and helpful
In comparison to other places, it's an expensive option with a lot of "add-ons" such as breakfast and access to the working area (needed, as the desks in common areas don't have plugs nearby). I was also disappointed that despite the beautiful space, I didn't find it easy to meet other travelers, unlike in other hostels.
Good location, close to two plazas. Nice courtyard, many food and drink options. Styling was good. Large and well functioning bathroom.
Very noisy and hot room with no outside windows. Small and uncomfortable bed. Staff was not as good as expected (language, ignorant). One of them “forgot” to give back $10 change. Expensive drinks. Food tour that we booked was disappointing, rushed and not as advertised. We were quite disappointed, as Selina is a big name in the business.
Room (teepee) was comfortable and clean. There was an electonic heater that served well in the night.Staff was absolutely amazing. The organization of the tours exceeded my expectations. Machu Picchu tour was the best, we stopped in 5 historical places, had amazing buffet and then when taking a train I was taken care of every step of the way: a team member texting me instructions, another guide waiting me on arrival... I felt very relaxed. ?And last but not least, the restaurant is AMAZING. You have a lunch menu for 28 Sol (7€) which was tasty and home made.
Teepees could have some kind of a curtain. There is a big window and it gets very bright at sunrise. Also the outdoor light could be turned off sooner, for the early morning tours I was going to sleep around 21h, but the light stayed on all the way until midnight.
Great value for money and an amazing position. The hotel has a wonderful vibe and is so pretty with its courtyard. The food great value, beautiful and prepared with care. We had fantastic breakfasts and lunches.
It is nicely decorated and really clean.
Common spaces that weren’t the restaurant had uncomfortable chairs except for the nook under the stairs which only accommodates one group and can’t be shared. Doesn’t foster a social vibe because of this lacking common space. Cucumber water although pretty tastes weird. A filter tap for water refills would be great.
