Pros +
- I loved the courtyard and the restaurant within the hotel. It was a beautiful place to relax and a convenient place to eat on very long busy days.
- This was the best hotel experience of my life. The staff was so helpful in every aspect of my journey, even arranging cars and holding my bag for me. As a solo female traveler, their help was so appreciated. I felt so safe and the hotel is beautiful.
- The staff really did everything to help us feel comfortable with our little ones, loved getting a massage at the spa after a full day of hiking.
Cons -
- The staff was very strict- for example I had 2 guests stop by briefly when I checked in and they almost didn't let them come to my room.
- breakfast was an extra charge. staff not very friendly.
- The center of the hotel is the lobby/restaurant, our room was on the first floor facing the lobby and we had to close the windows so people would not see us/to shut down the noise from diners. If you are claustrophobic, not the right place

Location and building.
I booked two double rooms with big beds. They made us pay extra for the fourth guest. Two double rooms equals four people unless specified. Two per room. Two couples. The bed in one of the double rooms was so small my husband hardly fit lengthwise and it was very uncomfortable as it was narrow as well. Not a normal bed for two. And we paid a considerable amount of money for one night.
Location, spa and staff were wonderful
Bed was harder than I prefer. Sheets weren’t soft and the bedspread was hard. Pillows were not comfortable either. No ac a portable one would have been nice to have.
Loved the layout , the ambience . Quiet colonial setting
I loved everything
Well located, the rooms were clean and beautiful, the middle roon ( lobby) was very nice.
Wonderful location. Easy walk to many shops, restaurants and attractions. Beautiful hotel.
Street noise at night. Bring ear plugs. No air con in rooms.
My room in the historical section was great! Loved the courtyard.
I'm glad we weren't in the newer part of the hotel, which looked institutional based on the hallway.
The lobby was stunning and good service
The room and facilities were very outdated. It was not worth the price and worse than what I expected.
The hotel looked nice, but the service was disappointing.
The hotel looks nice, but the service is terrible. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff made multiple mistakes. We booked through Booking.com and chose to pay at the hotel, but when making the payment, they added a 10% service charge without informing us. We understand that many hotels around the world charge service fees, and we have no problem paying them. However, when we booked on Booking.com, the service charge was not mentioned, so it was unexpected. The issue isn’t the fee itself—it’s that we should have been informed before being charged. Then there was the WiFi issue. When checking in, the front desk did not mention anything about WiFi, which is something every hotel should do. After he handed us our room keys and processed the payment, we immediately tried to connect to the WiFi—right at the front desk before leaving—but it didn’t work. When we asked him why, he casually replied that he hadn’t activated it yet. That made no sense because the WiFi login required our last name and room number, meaning he had already activated our room key but forgot to activate the WiFi. How does that even happen? On top of that, he told us the time for breakfast but didn’t mention the location. Every other hotel we’ve stayed at clearly states both the location and time for breakfast at check-in. Here, we were just told it was included and what time it was, but not where to go, which was frustrating in a big hotel. The real shocker, however, came when we tried to enjoy the complementary coffee in our room. There was no milk or powdered milk provided, which is completely fine. But when we called room service to ask for some, they told us they don’t provide milk or powdered milk for free and that milk or cream (whatever you prefer) would cost 8 soles. Charging for milk when the coffee itself is complimentary is unheard of and just not acceptable.
Reception area and restaurant is gorgeous setting. Location is great, very central, staff lovely.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good. The fruit is in season and delicious. The room was very clean. We rested well as the altitude took an adjustment of a few days.
Perfect location. Beautiful building.
The bathrooms tub were too high a little uncomfortable and not safe for my mother in law.
Clean and large rooms, central location, varied and very good breakfast.Exceptional restaurant with fair prices.
The staff was beyond friendly and helpful, the hotel is beautiful and the food delicious.
The quality of the rooms varies greatly, even within the same price range.
The Novotel staff were amazing from the moment I stepped in, we had to book accommodation for that night due to issues with our previous accommodation. They got us into our room early at 9am while we enjoyed the amazing buffet breakfast, where again the staff were attentive. Every time we walked in and out of the hotel we were greeted with a smile and hello. We felt extremely safe here and wish we could’ve stayed a few more nights!
Nothing was a great hotel and beautifully maintained
