Hotel Fasano Rio de Janeiro

Loved our stay at the Fasano! The perfect hotel to escape the the beach and enjoy the views from the rooftop! The staff were lovely.

The rooms could be a little bigger.

Service on the rooftop pool was poor. Almost 45 min went by and no one was around

Good location by the Ipanema beach.

Room with worn and scratched floor; pillows with a bad smell; poorly done room cleaning, clearly only the bed sheets were straightened without any concern for cleaning; problem with the hot water in the shower for consecutive hours. Morning breakfast overly charged for what's served.

I was expecting a wonderful breakfast, but it turned out to be just okay.

The location is unbeatable and the rooftop has a amazing view.

The hotel is quite disappointing. Very low ceiling, very dark, tiny elevators. There was some mold growing on the ceiling in the shower and behind the faucet. The housekeeping cart was left right in front of our room. Breakfast closing at 10:50AM when it is supposed to be 11AM. The front desk staff were very nice, friendly with perfect english, but i was surprised with the inability to speak few words of english for the rest of the staff. I would not recommend.

I really liked the interior of the hotel and the room with classic design pieces and Brazilian aesthetic. Also the sea/beach view from the room and the terrace are perfect to enjoy the vibe of the city. Impeccable room and laundry service and very friendly and helpful staff.

The breakfast buffet is good but I think could be improved. I personally like a good breakfast a la cart with wide choice when on holiday.

Great location on Ipanema. Congenial staff who went above and beyond to ensure satisfaction. Our neighbor kept playing very loud music in the middle of the night, and hotel mgmt came twice to resolve. For our inconvenience, hotel offered two complimentary massages. Hotel restaurant had excellent food and service.

Expensive breakfast that wasn’t particularly special. Rooftop food not special either.

Better location impossible. Helpful staff. Great to have gym + steam room + free surf boards & bikes. Great food also in Geru.

Sometimes it was noisy when sleeping, the banging of other people doors etc. Apart from that everything else was great.

Room looked onto an almost derelict building. Though beach view rooms good views. hotel bar shut at midnight.

The location is excellent, especially for gay travelers, and I always felt safe during my stay. The views from the oceanfront room and the rooftop pool are stunning. The laundry service was efficient and clean, but shirts should be folded with a cardboard insert to better preserve their condition while traveling. The wifi is free and well-performing.

The security staff is overly present rather than being discreet, as I’m accustomed to in hotels of similar or higher standards. This creates an impression of being in a jail, further compounded by the tiny rooms. The ambiance, which aims for posh, falls short in delivering a truly luxurious experience.The waiters at the pool are slow to take and deliver orders. Additionally, my personal belongings, including my phone and glasses, were mistakenly taken to the dirty laundry bag by inexperienced staff while I was at the steam room. The gym is so small that I encountered a guest who opted to pay for access to a larger fitness club nearby instead of using the hotel’s facilities.Charging for coffee capsules for the Nespresso machine is really cheap and says a lot about the hotel, reflecting poorly on its standards (easily negotiated off the final bill)
