Venit Barra Hotel

The room was very cozy, clean and well distributed

The Gym facilities were too small even for an hotel

We stay only one night it was ok but I would not spend more than one night , it’s perfect I do believe one you coming for a music show as the music venue is next door , breakfast was ok but nothing special

The reception personel was not so polite but maybe the reason is I don’t speak Portuguese

The Internet does not work in the hotel, the room service is terrible, the breakfasts and food are very bad. Dirty sun beds by the pool.

Wonderful breakfast buffet, well-equipped gym and a very nice free pool.

The only negative point was that the door frame from room 1214 was broken and required a lot of force to close. When checking out, the frame almost came off.

The breakfast was correct and the location is next to one of the big avenues but hardly noise in the rooms. Fitness was great, swimming pool rather small.

My sink didn't work properly and the maintenance people couldn't repair it. No restaurant in the evening, only room service available.

first they charge you lots of money saying it’s a 4 star hotel ! problems with the Wi-Fi and there was no hot water , when I called many times the reception they would say there were fixing or that it was fixed but nothing was done ! the breakfast was horrible the bread was dry and it was poor! they wouldn’t clean the room either change the towels without us asking Many times to it

The room size was good and it was always clean.

Staff not speaking any English. No lounge for resident, bar never open,breakfast very poor. Completely misdiscribed on booking .com. no local bars or restaurant. Not a tourist hotel.

All lovely and modern. Clean. Nice pool close to supermarkets and some food places

Nice hotel. Good room size. Very good breakfast.

There were some small inconveniences:Air-condition working very laud. Few times control system crashed and temperature could not be adjusted. Water under shower was not hot enough ( tap at the sink was ok)

I can spend in restaurante and others services and pay in check out, this is good!

The time for bar and pool, they close too early!

Great room, with lots of space. Good bathroom as well, all very clean and as expected. Room service was good and fast, staff was friendly but not especially thoughtful.

Breakfast was a bit lacking, too crowded and not enough variety for a 4-star hotel. I expected much more for the price that I paid, but understand that Rio can be expensive.

Breakfast

They moved us four separate times because. Had to sleep in 29 C / 84 F degree heat. Sink didn't drain and would overflow. Were rude when any of these problems were presented. Got a two drink voucher slap in the face. Left early due to incompetence / mismanagement

great location for rock in Rio. they run a lot of people through the hotelfor rock in Rio so they set it up to pay as you order avoiding check out. I thought that was clever and although a little inconvenient for the guest it would be much more inconvenient to try to check out 100 people at once … so I guess that’s a solution. there buffet was ok as well and they did give me and my boyfriend free drink tickets which was nice.

beds. that was the worst bed in the history of beds. I elected to sleep on top of the pillows on the floor. there was a big hump in the middle. it was just terrible. I cannot stress enough… hotels please make sure your beds are comfortable. that’s where your guests spend the majority of their time with you!!!!!
