Elegance Praia Hotel

The location it’s great. Flamengo is a very good zone, very close to Botafogo and Copacabana. There are very good restaurants in the same street and 2 metro stations. The breakfast it’s 10/10.

Very spacious room with comfy bed. Decent breakfast and cleaning lady was taking care of room everyday.

It would be great if room was little renovated. No proper window inside. Bath is little old. I was struggling a little bit with WiFi. Also, my cell phone with brazilian SIM card had no service inside. Many homeless people around but I didnt feel unsafe. Hotel could be a little bit more english friendly and provide guests with piece of paper with all most important information.

The hotel was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was a nice highlight — good variety, well served, and available from 6 to 10am. Bathroom was also great, with good shower, toilet, and a handheld bidet, which is not always common. The location is convenient, though access can be a bit tricky due to the narrow street.

Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi in the room barely worked and was very slow when it did. Cell signal was also weak, and there was no business center available, which made it nearly impossible to work. The mattress could be much better, and while the garage is quite tight, it’s understandable given the area.

Room was great, overall good hotel. They let me store my luggage until 11:30pm after checkout.

I was given a room(by Flavio) on the first floor that did not match what I had booked. All night, there was a noise coming from the air conditioning, even though it was turned off. On the second night, I requested another room, and I was given one that actually matched my reservation. Due to the room change, I forgot a phone charger in the first room, and it was never found!?

Charged 3-4 times higher than normal due to the carnival. But service does not match the increased price! For example: some room light is dead and some are flashing all times! Mentioned to service staff on check in day but never changed during our 3 nights stay!

Good location with typical Brazilian style buffet breakfast. Clean room and comfortable bed, good shower and bathroom. Price included access to fully equipped gym across the road.

Room was large enough and had an area for a table and chairs or a couch but had neither, just a single chair. So nowhere to sit and relax after a day out other than lie on the bed. No facility for making tea or coffee.

The room booked was very spacious, including a large whirlpool bath, large shower room and toilet and lobby! Large Caletta TV. Good left luggage facilities. Close to Flamengo Beach and Caletta for wide variety of restaurants.

Although spacious, the rooms lacked character and seemed a little dated, though better than the Regina Hotel in the street parallel to this one. The air conditioner was old, requiring manual settings and did not work efficiently. Although there was quite a lot of variety for breakfast, i found it disappointing in terms of the quality. All the fruit juices tasted watered down. The breakfast at the Regina Hotel was excellent in comparison.

Everything was good, room, staff, breakfast and the hotel itself. Also the location was not bad.

There was only a fan always on and it was a bit noisy, but we could sleep anyway. On the last day the bed sheets and towels were not changed, but one member of staff came in the late evening asking if we needed some.

the room was very hot when i got in which is never very pleasant, but a/c was effective! however there were many mosquitoes in the room as windows were left open and i found that very unpleasant! also globo channel was down ( all others channels were working) so i missed the opening ceremony of the olympics! ?that was annoying… it was down for the entire hotel and nobody could do anything about it; the rest was good, breakfast excellent and very nice location; rooms are comfortable.

I liked the cleanliness, neatness, breakfast was always delicious many fruits & local delicacies.Me & my family loved.The hotel location was very close to the beach, shops & subway station. It was a very safe location. Staff were very friendly & super smiling & helpful.I would definitely recommend this hotel to Freinds.Thank you.
