    • Swimming Pool, free breakfast
    • BED BUGS!
    • Location, value, breakfast, luggage storage prior to reservation, staff was very friendly and helpful even with language barrier, pool was great.

    Cons -

    • I could not charge my phone and / or my lap top because the power outlets are round Plug Type designed only from Brazilians, here in the US or other countries the power outlets have Flat Plug Type.
    • Room 806 had bed bugs. Around 8 pm I went to report this to the reception. At first I was told that this is normal that there are insects. After short conversation I realised that the person I’m talking to doesn’t know what bed bugs are, even after I asked him to google it. I try to explain that this is a serious problem not only for me but also for you (the hotel) and the guy raised voice at me: „Why are you saying it’s my problem?! It’s not my problem, it’s hotel’s problem! Don’t tell me it’s my problem!”. At this point I nicely ask for a new room. I was denied new room at first. I went back with other stuff member to my hotel to confirm that bed bugs are all over 2 beds in that room. It took few minutes form the guy to agree to give me new room. When I was investigating new room for bed bugs the person that was with me got angry with me that I was checking both beds.I ask for the laundry service for all my stuff and I was told to wait for the next day. When I explained that I am not going to take my stuff to new room, to not spread the issue, the guy told me that they can store my things in the same place where they stored other guests things who already checked out but have late flights. I did not agree to that and asked for plastic bags for my cloths. The guy told me to wait for the next day for cleaning service. I had to explain the risk once again and finally I was provided with plastic bags with holes in it with the comment „those are small holes, bugs want fit them” - the holes were wide for at least two fingers. In the morning I went to the reception again to talk to manager, who told me that she can’t do anything about it and she can give me number to the hotel managers. I explained that I’m travelling from Europe, I can’t make any calls and I can use only data on my phone, here was her answer „oh, right. Do yo want the number?”.To the last moment they didn’t care that there are bed bugs in the hotel.

Great location! It's close to everything you need.

Very outdated. Small rooms with a serious lack of power sockets in usable locations. If you need to charge your devices, be prepared for a struggle. The bathrooms and showers are also uncomfortably small.

The professionalism. The staff could speak English and they were really nice.

The pre-authorization fund took two hours to be released back to me. If I needed that money for my excursions then I’d have a problem

    Breakfast was great.

My room was okay but had some issues with how it looks in terms of cleanliness and comfiness.

    7BrunoPosted on: 10-15-2025

Very friendly staff, AC worked well location was great.

I was constantly woken up by the guest next door showering late at night because the shower makes a really loud noise across the wall. The sheets were damaged.

The room was basic, but the price was right for that. The 3 stars applied to hotels in rio is strange, I’d moved from another 3 star so expected the same…. My problem, nit 5he hotels. The staff were lovely throughout the hotel

    It was just basic

    7BernardPosted on: 8-23-2025

Location; strong water pressure in the shower.

    Old furniture and moldy shower

    Location, breakfast and price.

There's nothing much to point. The hotel is a bit old-fashioned and there was some spots in the walls and in the bed sheets, however, our stay was great and is very worthy for what we paid.

    9PaolaPosted on: 8-11-2025

The hotel is exactly how they sell themselves, so no surprises. Loved that. Clean facilities and friendly staff. The room was comfortable and the bathroom had everything it needed plus hot water with no troubles. The breakfast was amazing; great variety (e.g. eggs, bread, cheeses, hams, etc.).

If I have to point something out it would be the internet. My room was on the seventh floor to the front side of the building. Sadly, the signal was not strong within the room and I had to sit down closer to the door to work. The elevators work great but it's a busy hotel so add a few minutes extra or request your Uber once you're downstairs. The stairs at the entrance are a nuisance but the staff is so great that I had no trouble at all with getting help.

    Location is great, breakfast too.

The original room was near the street, so it was very noisy at nights. I asked for a room change and the staff quickly managed it. The second room was great

Everything! Food was delicious, service was amazing, location is great! Best hotel in Rio!

    5GregPosted on: 7-19-2025

I submitted this as a written comment in their guest mailbox— the bathroom in the room I was ‘assigned’ shared a wall with the elevator shaft, and with it being on the top floor it was basically next to the elevator motor. Other guests in the hotel were respectful with noise levels. But because of one of the reasons that draws tourists to Rio (partying), the elevator operated nearly constantly through the day and night. So, I had a full week of disturbed sleep because the elevator motor itself was loud. Loud enough that I could still hear it quite clearly despite wearing earplugs.

Friendly staff and Anna helped us a lot with a luggage issue.

    The rain!

    1MohamedPosted on: 7-1-2025

The receptionist is very rude, insisting in paying the whole reservation value twice, even i already payed on booking website. They did not returned the double payment they issued.

    7AlexandrePosted on: 4-22-2025

    Breakfast

The apartment key kept losing its magnetic. We had to go to the reception a few times to get the keys magnetized again.

A little bit old school, but as expected. Great value for money, all was OK. Can even see the Christ redeemer from the pool on the roof. Pretty nice breakfast too.

Very good value for money. It’s not a stunning hotel, but is certainly somewhere to rest your head at night. Right in the heart of Copacabana with about a 5 minute walk to the beach. Room was good, massive bed the shower was a little disappointing with a bit of a crappy shower head.Breakfast was awesome with a variety of choices. The hotel offers some tours if you haven’t organised them yet, they are a little pricey I think you can Uber a lot of places and buy tickets at the gate if you are looking for cheaper prices.Pool upstairs was ok, wasn’t very deep. Overall a really good stay to start our South American trip.

Good location a few blocks from Copacabana beach ⛱️. Also near to Metro Station.

Breakfast could have been a bit more varied . No Toaster!
