It a little dated walls are thin . Shower didn't drain well. Balcony door was rough.....I thinks acceptable for the service and location

This is not the hotels fault at all, but the dates that I went the hotel was filled with family and children who were not well behaved in neither the common areas or the hallways. I was unable to rest during my stay due to excessive yelling and conversations outside my room door by families and kids. Parents were also not looking after children in breakfast area and many were running around being loud. If you are traveling with kids maybe this is the perfect stay for you. But if you need days of rest and quiet like I did, this is probably not the place for you as it seems to be a family hotel.

The location is easy and very good access to everything. The beds are comfortable. The shower was good. There is a safe. Air conditioning worked. It was clean. Staff friendly

Internet had no capacity. The appliances are run down. The sink at the bathroom is unexpectedly small. The beds could be better positioned. The reception is shabby. The lifts are frightening slow. Noisyfrom the inside and from the outside. Could be a good 2 stars. Not a 3 stars

Leaving early.

Staff weren’t friendly, facilities weren’t clean. Lifts were slow. Key cards kept failing to work. Breakfast was below average. Plug sockets in room were loose and kept falling out. Air con leaked. I left early.

Tried to charge £60 for early check-in and looked at us if we were daft to refuse. There were no negotiations on cost, so we changed in toilet and went to beach. Did do free luggage hold.

Location is good

Hotel and facilities are old. We got stuck in an elevator of 1 square meter with 3 persons in a temperature of around 30 degrees. Alarm button didn’t work, another guest heard our screams for help and alarmed the reception but they did nothing. We had to call the service company, and it took around 15 minutes until the doors opened by themselves, but all this time reception did nothing. And on top of that they seemed very indifferent when we told them what had happened.

There were cockroaches, the WiFi was not working, the elevator was unsafe, there were loud constructions all over the place, and the breakfast was cheap. Cleaning of the sheets and towels was also terrible

5 minutes walk to copacabana beach

When i got there they told me it was full and they called a taxi to take me to Royal Rio hotel palace,so thats the one im writing about.The. first night they gave me a room with no window and told me they would change it to a better one the day after. Really overvalued hotel everything was dirty, from the very old bathroom towels that hadn't had a proper wash in a decade,the cleaning lady was spraying perfume to new towels so they don't smell, they don't change bedsheets unless you tell them to.I saw waiters in breakfast clean the table(throw bread crumbs on the floor) the chairs AND the plate with the same cloth.Also saw another one spray antibacterial spray in a dirty coffee mag wipe it and put it for someone else to use it.Also the staff is very rude,i noticed a waiter looking at me,then talking to the guy at the register and both laughing at me several times without even hiding it. They don't like customers that don't speak their language. Only good people there are the cleaning ladies.Really bad experience overall,don't recommend it to anyone and definitely not going back.

Location was convenient for me

I would recommend people stay elsewhere because the price is far too high for what you get. My room was not properly clean, it was very small with a small window, the bedding is old, the room was musty. Nothing terrible if you know what you're getting, but it should not be as expensive as it is. There are much better places nearby. Staff was perfectly good and spoke with me in english which I appreciated.

only a trickle from hot water tap in bathroom, the fridge was rusty on the top and looked dirty .... but was clean on the inside.

The only good thing about this hotel was the location. What is also a surprise, for a place like copacabana.First at all, the pictures and the reality don’t match. Our room was unfinished, paint, doors, ceiling, sink, and the lights. The towels and bed sheets were very dirty, old and full of stains. Bed was not comfortable at all. Rooms are sooooo noisy! The door of the safe was broken. I had better wifi connection in an isolated island than in that hotel. Very bed wifi! Breakfast was okay, but always the same. The food was not fresh or good quality.The staff, were not helpful, not friendly. (Reception) One morning they decided to fix something on the next room, and around 09:00 in the morning they started to make a lot of noise by drilling in the walls. We called the reception to aks what was going on, they couldn’t speak English so they ignored and hang out the phone. Also every morning the cleaning crew came to clean the rooms around making a lot of loud noises. Again around 09:00.

amazing location and the breakfast included was great the staff are also so friendly. loved having a balcony and the AC was amazing.

with cleaning the floors weren’t always swept, in our unit the bathroom is small but manageable
