The location couldn’t be more perfect, 5 minute walk to the Ipanema beach and the are has some really nice restaurants and small bakeries, along some nice stores for some shopping. The room was really comfortable and housekeeping was really thorough and polite. Special mention to Thais from reception always really smiley and kind. Generally the whole staff was very polite and friendly from the security man outside of the property, to the bell boys and the waiters.

The location was an absolute 10/10 — truly unbeatable. Posto 10 in Ipanema beach was just a 5–7 minute walk away. The staff were outstanding, warm, and genuinely friendly. Special thanks to Fernando and Lucio (I hope I’m spelling their names correctly), who went above and beyond to accommodate us in every possible way.

The sheets are in desperate need of replacement. What were once white now have a greyish tone, especially the duvets, which makes them feel old and, therefore, dirty. The mattresses were also not very comfortable for me, though I recognize that mattress preference is quite personal.In some parts of the hotel, when you turn on the AC, a damp “wet dog” smell eventually appears — likely due to poor ventilation, though I’m no expert.The breakfast was another disappointment. I’m not referring to the variety of choices, since I understand that local breakfast options are part of the adventure of traveling and experiencing new cultures. What bothered me was the quality: stale bread and pancakes, watery eggs, and a fruit salad made with fruit that was clearly on the verge of spoiling. These issues, in my opinion, could easily be resolved with simple fixes — fresher bread, more toasters and presses, and a bit more attention to freshness overall.

Bathroom in our room was extremely small. We had to move to another room. There are NO places with drawers to store your clothes.

Perfect location, comfy room with a great selection in the minibar. Staff were super helpful and welcoming with everything we needed.

I enjoyed the room, especially the beautiful sea view. The rooftop terrace offered an even more stunning panorama. Breakfast was plentiful and featured a wide variety of options, though I did miss having tapioca.

There isn't anything I can think of.

The staff was especially attentive and solved a major problem we had with a tour operator. The hotel manager was excellent in addressing our issue with the tour operator and was able to get our money refunded. When we had issues with our safe (the battery), the staff immediately addressed it. The location is one block from the Ipanema Beach! The hotel provides towels and umbrellas free-of-charge. There are wonderful restaurants nearby -- too many to choose from!

Compared to other hotels in Brazil, the breakfast could’ve been a little bit better, but nothing to too serious.

Our room was right infront of the cleaning staff storage area. We could hear staff chatter throughout the night. If you are a light sleeper suggest that you ask for a quiet room.

Oh my god what a disgrace of a place! In a good location but the management needs to change ASAP!

Never informed us before arrival that the restaurant was not working! Which meant no coffee no breakfast no room service no lunch no dinner option!!!! We were on our honeymoon and had to rush off to get coffee from a hotel we were paying more than 150 euros per night!And the best part … they offered breakfast in a supermarket on top of the meat and fish hall… ? gross!!! The staff can be rude … the sheets were never changed in our 6 day stay!! What a disaster!!! And in the end they made a mistake with our mini-bar ( 23 euro bill mind you..) and sent me emails to pay them after having spend 900 euros for accomodation.. and never getting a refund for the days we had to go out to the supermarket to eat breakfast ( which of course we refused to do..)So pety… its people who make the difference and the management of this place needs to change ASAP!!!

Friendly and helpful staff, great location. Being able to rent beach chairs, umbrella and towels was great

The room wasn’t very clean and it was really noisy. I had to sleep with earplugs. The bed was huge but not very comfortable. Breakfast was okay.
