The hotel was full the day of the stay and the room was ready at 3pm, which was not a problem at all. But the recepcioni

Good value for money. Reception staff proficient and breakfast was good for the price. Nothing to complain about really.

Could have had a second person on reception to avoid long wait when busy.

Staff was nice, didn’t go “out of their way” to help or please anyone, but nice.

The hotel is old and the rooms aren’t super clean. At first I got a very big nice room, but as I entered it looked like solem just left and they didn’t clean it, even a wet towel on the floor. So I went back to the reception and they gave e a smaller room. Sheets, bathroom and night stand were clean, but the floor and closet was super shaft, as well as under the bed, which made me sneeze quite a bit.

The Room was fine But Lacked Simple Complimentary Essentials Like atleast Drinking Water and Small Beverages. So unfortunate comapred to the Pricing.

You can hear everything and everyone through the walls of people passing by and the walls you share with other rooms. Ac is loud and rattles. Outdated for the price you pay.

In a safe neighborhood, just a short walk to Copacabana beach

The location of the hotel was great. It was very central with a supermarket close by. The room was cleaned daily. The water pressure of the shower was good. The breakfast had a good selection

The rooms were very outdated and the bed not very comfortable. The reception was very slow. Some of the fitting in the bathroom were loose.

Horrible Experience – Worst Place I’ve Ever Stayed

y stay at the Savoy Hotel was absolutely awful. The room was filthy, with dirt in every corner and even cockroaches crawling around. The bathroom smelled disgusting, to the point where it was hard to even be inside.The air conditioning sounded like a broken car engine, making it impossible to sleep. On top of that, the room had a connecting door to the next room, and you could hear everything the other guests were saying and doing — zero privacy.The entire facility is extremely old and desperately needs renovation. Honestly, this was the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Avoid at all costs!

- location is perfect - central in between Copacabana and Ipanema beaches - all amenities nearby - stores, pharmacy, restaurants - neighbourhood felt safe for Rio - delicious and various breakfast- English speaking staff

- very old furniture- sheets and towels were clean but stained - central air conditioning with mold inside the vents- noise from the air conditioning and the rooms- the safe in the room was broken so we couldn’t use it

Cleanliness in general: dust in the room, bathroom, old towels, and no way to adjust the AC.

The location is great and most of the staff were helpful and friendly.

The room was very tired and not at all like the shiny online photos. The air conditioning didn’t work and was swiftly repaired when we reported it but then failed again late evening which meant an uncomfortable sleep. The night porter was totally disengaged when we arrived in the early hours. He stood by while we were being hustled by a passer by wanting money and didn’t offer to help us with our luggage.
