Hotel Laghetto Moinhos

Good hotel in a convenient location. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The structure is a bit dated, and the breakfast was OK, but perhaps a grade below what one would expect.

The reception staff are exceptionally good and highly qualified. In particular, Mr. Pedro has impeccable English and helped us book the city tour as well as recommend and make reservations at excellent restaurants. Our room was the standard one, without special decorations, but very cozy. The water fountain is turned off at night, so it does not disturb sleep. It was a wonderful experience.

Laghetto Moinhos is my go to anytime I'm in Porto Alegre. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the restaurant is pretty good, the staff is always pleasant and respectful. It's about a 10 minute walk from the Parque Moinhos de Vento (Windmill Park) which is a pleasant place to stroll.

The only issue is that it's a bit far from Historic Centro (4km), so one has to drive or get an Uber unless one wants to walk for 30 minutes.

Very well located for my work trip, beautiful space for the ancient bar and restaurant where you can work . Great Rooftop pool and gym. Super nice staff, good breakfast with many options to make it different everyday. They have a panini maker ! Loved it

Room was small but maybe that was my booking !No water offered in the room! It’s a must! The dining room Is noisy, was hard to avoid the loud video calls and reels , very annoying. Make it forbidden to use loud cellphones!! No wine by the glass - you should do it , you make money !!

Excellent location close to shops and a great variety of restaurants. Friendly staff and a plentiful breakfast with a great selection of local pastries and native fruits.

The garage space is tight.

Bathrooms are outdated , the building needs some extra care, it’s a beautiful place but requires more maintenance to keep looking good, bedsheets are not good and barely fits the bed, keepIn mind I choose a regular room, maybe in some different options the quality may be better. Overall I think it’s worth it

The hotel is well located near many very nice restaurants. The staff are terrific, super house cleaning. A large buffet style breakfast is offered, and dining room staff are also very attentive. A friendly welcoming atmosphere all around.

The weight room is modest, some of the pull down equipment falls off when you are using it. They are open hooks, rather than a clip system .Actually a hazard.These equipment should really be upgraded or replaced.

Very well located, close to everything we wanted to do. Very convenient and safe to come and go. The landmark historic house where the reception, bar and restaurant are gives the hotel most of its charm. Breakfast was good, reception and restaurant staff always very friendly and helpful.

The details that made the stay not so memorable were the (un)clearness of the room, the old linens (thin towels, bath mat w/ holes) and chipped and rusty shower door handle. The AC was pretty dusty inside, the air vents in the bathroom also covered in thick dust. The room felt not well maintained.

The location is excellent and within walking distance of many restaurants. The staff was generally polite, helpful, and respectful.

Prior to arrival, we emailed the hotel to ask if their electricity is 127V or 220V. We received a prompt response from the hotel that their electricity is 127V, meaning we didn’t need a travel transformer for our 120V items. Of course, when we arrived, the hotel electricity is 220V! I showed the front desk the 127V email and they had no response or explanation. The hotel corridors are narrow and very much like the corridors on a cruise ship. The rooms are small and dark. The breakfast was tasteless and boring. Probably the worst hotel breakfast I have ever experienced. The hotel dining room is austere, bleak, and gloomy. The bed was uncomfortable with sheets that were too small for the bed. The air conditioner was noisy and blew directly at the bed.

Location. Price. Style. Breakfast was amazing. Beautiful building. Breakfast staff very attentive and friendly. Walking distance to everything.

Staff at front desk appeared to be always very occupied and thus inattentive. A greeting hello or goodbye as guests come and go would be welcoming. Also, we were not shown he hotel facilities or instructed on where the breakfast was served. Maybe it was just a busy time.

Love the design of the hotel, location, and especially the staff! It was my partner’s birthday and they kindly upgraded the room and gave her a birthday surprise. Had an enjoyable stay!
