Pros +
- Everything - the hotel was elegant, but cozy at the same time. We really enjoyed the apartment / suite with the bath, really big, comfortable beds and living room. And we LOVED the breakfast, including the local food, like biezpiena plācenīši! ;)
- Great hotel at very reasonable price. Was arriving very early. Staff stayed up to let me in. Many thanks!!!!
- Loved the location, amenities, free parking, garden, breakfast and restaurant.
Cons -
- Everything was perfect! It was most probably the most underrated and best surprise of hotels I have visited.
- Shower didn’t drain. Housekeeping should have caught that before I was standing in ankle deep water!
- The air conditioner didn’t work. They were so kind to loan us a fan, but when the property is advertised as having ac, it should work.

Very nice place. The staff at the desk and in the restaurant were very kind, friendly and helpful.

the staff at the reception was very helpful and try her best to manage all the bad events like blocked shower
old furniture ,shower where blocked in 2 rooms , the hotel need face left
Great hotel. Reservation primary was made for the concert in Jelgava. We we contacted before and provided full info about parking. Arrival was smooth, very pleasant communication at the desk. Everything clean, nice interior and we were surprised how good was hotel.
The hotel is elegant and close to the leisure park and boating. The beds were comfortable with top class linen. We didn't have breakfast but we had lunch and it was of a high standard. In the morning the Sauna is free provided you book it. This added to the feeling of a luxurious break. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
The room TV did not have a great signal so its picture broke up when watching programmes. A toilet brush in the bathroom would be useful.
Furniture was nice
Windows don't have mosquito screens so you can't really open a window to let some fresh air in because the room will be full of mosquitoes then. It is really weird that receptionist said the restaurant that's in the same building and included in the price is part of a different company and they have no idea if we need a reservation. Feels very unprofessional, they should coordinate between the hotel and the restaurant. Also the restaurant staff was arrogant.
- Fancy looking room, beautifully decorated in old style fashion- Good sized bath tub- Private parking- Food and drinking bowls for pet
- The AC was both weak and loud. Over a 10-hour period at maximum power, it only cooled the room by 2 degrees Celsius—far from enough to reach a comfortable temperature. It was also too noisy to keep on during the night, resulting in an unpleasant sleeping environment. - The Superior Suite had arguably the worst view. While many rooms offer beautiful views of the river, ours had a heavily obstructed view—about 60% of it was blocked by the hotel’s own facade. - Our room was not cleaned, even though we had clearly left the "Cleaning Required" sign on the door handle. Someone had flipped it to "Do Not Disturb." This was definitely not our mistake—we double-checked the sign before leaving.- The bathtub had a hydromassage feature, but when turned on, it sucked in air from the sewer, causing the entire bathroom to smell. Not exactly the romantic end to the evening we had in mind.- Breakfast was well below average. If you're vegetarian, your options are basically limited to bread, jam, and yogurt.- And to top it all off, during breakfast, I politely asked a staff member to prepare a cappuccino using their high-end barista machine. My request was bluntly declined. Yet, just five minutes later, a Latvian-speaking guest made the same request—and the staff began preparing her coffee. So rude! I’ve received better service in unrated hotels and guesthouses.I cannot recommend this hotel. I honestly wonder if it earned its 4-star rating based solely on its decor. To me, it felt more like a 2- or 3-star experience at best.
We always stay there when we visit Latvia. Nothing is too much. Quiet and convenient location
Atmosphere in breakfast was a bit odd and price for breakfast is insane €15 per person. So to eat breakfast for 4 of us cost €60. We went next morning down the road and ate cheaper.
Space of apartment and be able to cook for family small simple meals. I wish you can have more apartment's as they almost never avalible to book
Pleasant
An old building with old and noisy AC, small bathroom, furniture and room style is not for everyone
Staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good.
The corridors and room with the carpets had a particular stuffy smell to them which I wasn't a fan of. I'm not sensitive to smells, but this one was bugging me. Felt like there wasn't enough air to breathe. The isolation in the walls wasn't particularly good, it kept hearing someones phones ringing through the walls, people talking in the corridor. I didn't like the vintage furniture look and for the price I paid, I expected better.
The rooms were clean and a decent size.
Even when it was off, the tv emitted a blue light which lit up the room making it difficult to sleep.
Nice hotel, where you get value for your money
Room 206 was extremely cold upon checkin in, and radiator could not heat it up enough. The day after I received an additional radiator, and it was perfect.
I stayed in honeymoon suite. Room was ok, maybe better airconditioning would be needed to cool down the room. Bed was good, hard enough. Food in restaurant was good. There was enough parking space. Location was great in center of small city.
More glutein free options for breakfast needed. No room service.
Very friendly reception , good choice on breakfest , nice room , excellent wi-fi , big private parking place .
In the description was 2 windows in the room , in reality one window .
The hotel it self is a very boutique hotel with an amazing location close to everything. The room was really clean and the bed was super comfortable
The TV signal wasn't that great, however if I would be coming site seeing I wouldn't be sitting in the room watching TV, everything else was exceptional
Good servive both in reception and in the restaurant.
Unsynchronized pricing policy between accomodation and meal. 14 eur/pers for breakfast is far to much.
Clean, stuff helped with extra requirements.Restaurant downstairs was excellent.
A little bit old design.
