Overlooking the Eskilstuna River, this hotel is housed in the same building as the Munktell Museum. It offers a light evening meal, afternoon tea/coffee and spacious rooms with free Wi-Fi. Each room at Home Hotel Bolinder Munktell features an armchair and both satellite and movie channels. Bathrobes and slippers are provided in some rooms. Breakfast at Hotel Bolinder Munktell includes organic options as well as both hot and cold dishes. It is served in the conservatory, which offers magnificent river and city views. Hotel Clarion Collection Bolinder Munktell has a relaxation area with a sauna, as well as bright décor, high ceilings and large windows. There is also a small gym. Pros +
- Everything was just perfect. Rooms seemed to be freshly renovated. Breakfasts, fika and dinners were really tasty.
- Dinner is included. Great food!
- Excellent location, very near to a couple of museums, walking paths and parks. Being in a quieter part of town, it felt nicely isolated and serene.
Cons -
- We have stayed in several Clarion Hotels around Sweden before, so the bar was rather high. That being said, as we stayed during the weekend before Christmas, we were expecting some better hospitality and better variation of the food (breakfast and dinner were the exact same over multiple days). Moreover, the parking to the hotel was pay-per-night, and not included in the cost. Lastly, the gym was tiny, and the sauna was turned off (but that can me attributed to the period we visited).
