I liked the 24h reception, the lady in the front was so lovely

We stayed in 4 different hotels in Kristianstad and this was by far the nicest one.

Great location.

Wifi didnt work due to construction work. Took about 10 minutes to get hot water in the shower.

Spacious room, comfy beds, quiet, great breakfast, friendly staff. Great location.

A bit expensive for one night but it was worth it.

Breakfast was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. The dinner in the bistro was very good and we appreciated being able to stay so long to visit with our friends in the last night.

Breakfast was very good and plenty to choose from. Well stocked

The shower was very small in the room so as a 185cm tall & broad shouldered man it was quite hard to use.

Hotel night staff refused to lending me hotel phone to call the medical emergency services

During my stay, I had a medical emergency. Due to having a British phone carrier I experienced issues with calling the medical emergency services and had no other alternative then asking the hotel staff at the desk.However, the night staff of the hotel refused to lend me a phone nor call the emergency services for me and I had to find a taxi to take me to the emergency centre at the hospital myself. I was told by the staff that other potential guests needed to call and the night staff down prioritised me as a guest at their hotel in my moment of desperation to call the medical emergency services.I will never ever stay at this hotel again, in fact, I would rather stay at a homeless shelter if I knew they would have the decency to help someone in a emergency situation.It is shameful and disgraceful how a hotel staff is allowed to work in hospitality when they refuse to do the bare minimum such as calling medical emergency services for someone in need as well as the discrimination of staying a guest being treated as subhuman scum for staying at their hotel.As far as I am aware, there are plenty more hotels in Kristianstad with similar hotel room standard and pricing, anyone would be better off booking with those hotels instead since hotel grand have made their priorities very clear or lack of priorities in customer service.

Kristianstad is a lovely place. Staff very helpful and friendly. Well positioned for everything

What's not to like?

Perfect location for traveling by train. 3 minute walk from station. Easy to carry bags.Central location in downtown.

We were traveling by bicycle and were able to use the bike storage room to leave our bikes overnight. The location was central. The staff was phenomenally helpful. There was a whole gluten-free section on the breakfast buffet. Plus the selection at breakfast was excellent.

Incredibly noisy, both from the street/night clubs, people screaming and shouting, from the doors on the hotel (also from other rooms) creaking, doors slamming, people shouting on the hallways etc
