Beautiful place, great location , clean and nice personal.

Everything was wonderful. Bedding was good quality. Clean and cozy. Breakfast was truly amazing.

The location was nice

The restaurant is closed on a Sunday and we were not advised and there was a rude woman around for 20 mins who we discovered later was the Manager! The place was very busy with one young girl left to deal with everything on her own! Check ins/food (available 2 cold meals in foyer)drinks and helping guests with information! It was disgraceful although she deserves 5 stars as she was so polite and courteous

An old herrgård, nicely kept, it feels like spending a night in a museum. The gardens are beautiful and give the hotel a calm and relaxing vibe, despite nearby road and industry. The little spa is a nice touch and quite new, plus we had a private sauna in our room. Breakfast was nice, too.

The beds were far too soft. That needs to be changed. There were very loud guests smoking and drinking in front of the main building, until midnight, when finally the manager told them to go to a different spot, because several guests had complained. I would have appreciated it, if they had done something about the noise a little bit faster.

Comfortable and pleasant room, feels like home. The hotel is very nice and well located. The breakfast was magnificent and the attention of the staff was very pleasant

Very helpful staff, great breakfast.Pleasant grounds to walk around.A good place for a few days.

Very noisy room, the soundproofing needs to be greatly improved.Rather limited dinner menu, which would benefit from being changed daily.We found the bed uncomfortable.

Cosy and clean

Noise and a lot of mess due to a local prom. Not a relaxing stay as expected.

Came to ride some of the bikepaths /sykkelleder in the area. Found a good loop, the Trollhättan-Vänersborg loop. The Ronnums Herrgard staff accommodated locking the bikes away at night. There are several bike paths crossing the area.

The bridges and paths between Vänersborg and Vargön was a bit busy with cars, but the bike lanes was separat from the traffic. So all in all good.

Beautiful building, great buffet breakfast and Emma was amazing on check-in when we arrived late on a dark showy evening and after long drive.

We arrived late and weren't aware that the restaurant was closed for dinner due to the holidays. We would have appreciated that having been very clear to us on booking. But we managed with delivery services.

Breakfast, sauna and the bed was extremely comfortable.

The room was large and comfortable, with the separate bathroom and an added bonus of a sauna. We loved the vintage feel and the history of the place. Breakfast was an excellent spread, catering for all tastes. Staff were helpful and friendly. Our meal in the restaurant was exceptional. Free parking on site. We spent 3 days exploring the Halle-Hunneberg area. A very special experience.

Nice historic building - in good location. Nice large suite.

A little dated and room felt a bit scruffy. TV had wires hanging out of it and speakers.Dining room was quite Spartan (even for Sweden ?). And had a cold (non cozy) feel.

Lovely hotel, lots of history, charm and character. Super friendly and helpful staff, both in reception and restaurant. Great breakfast buffet as well. Everything well maintained, clean and well run.

This is a very pleasant hotel in a typical Swedish style for a stopover during a road trip across Sweden

The hotel could have more options for games and play especially for children
