Hotel Ansgar

Everything was absolutely perfect. The room was very clean, cozy, and comfortable. The location is great, close to everything. The host was kind, responsive, and very helpful. I felt safe and relaxed during my stay.I truly enjoyed my time here and would 100% stay again. Highly recommended!

Ansgar is a hidden Gem. I always stay here and prefer it to the more modern hotels. Staff are amazing. I forgot my travel adapter and they gave me one to use.

Rooms are basic, its expected at this price point. I woke up in the morning pretty cold. Bathroom is not the biggest but it is clean. there is a bit of hiking if your in the old section of the hotel

Location staff and facilities

Staff was very helpful and friendly, making every effort to ease my stay. Breakfast was great and night was restful.

Nice descent place for one night stay. nicely decorated interior. just in downtown - few meters from main square. Not that far away from railway station too.

Nothing to complain really. maybe the size of the room - but I did expect it not to be very spacy anyway, so, I was not disappointed.

Friendly welcome by the receptionist. Nice and rich breakfast. Excellent location in the heart of Esbjerg. Convenient parking. Good coffee both at the lobby and at breakfast.

It was not possible to regulate the heat in the room we opened the windows but we were located at the front. The noise from outside was constant with people returning home from a night out until 4am then the street cleaning started. On the second night two fireworks were set out in the street at 1030 it was loud it shook our room

Very good inside secure bike storage . Immediately off a central area with multiple restaurants . Reception very friendly and helpful . Elevator to upper floors . Room very clean and bright . Very good breakfast .

There was a smell coming either from drain or from cleaning utilities used in toilet. And also there was a stain in carpet

A really nice place to spend a night or two . Very reasonable price point . In town center along walking street . Good inside secure bicycle storage . Really pleasant and helpful lady at reception . Room #257 was large , very clean and bright . Very nice and clean bathroom . Bed very comfortable. Room to spread out and be comfortable . Free coffee , tea and water 24/7 in lobby . Comfortable lounge in lobby . Honor refrigerator with drinks in lobby . Close to several restaurants including a “Bones” restaurant.

The hotel is centrally located, with a small car park and comfortable rooms in a newly renovated historic building. Breakfast is plentiful, and complimentary wine is available (for free!).
