I loved that the room was exceptionally clean when I arrived and the breakfast buffet was varied and continually restocked.

The fixtures in the room are really dated and the room.had a smell that wasn't great. Also the bed had two twin mattresses on it to make the larger bed, but you could feel where the mattresses met, which wasn't comfotable.

Water spurted everywhere from the bath tap when the shower was used. The ‘aircon’ was central and not a stand alone unit that you could control the temperature of yourself.

As on several previous occasions, I liked the hotels location, cleanliness and breakfast!

This time I didn’t like my room ( Nr. 106 ), especially since the internet didn’t work!

Comfortable bed and clean room. Facilities and location were OK for one night. Reasonable price for the inner city location and close.to shopping.

Lifts were very slow in busy times (8th floor) and the area was sketchy in the morning and night, although convenient. My room didn't have cooling and it was noisy at the back of the hotel.

I am traveling since many years in Argentina for work and vacations so I know quiet well the country. For the first time, I choose to book a room at the Dora Hotel. It is written 4 stars hotel but it is not true at all: 1 or 2 stars no more!! This is a very big scam! Just below the list of all things that are wrongs (and I can prove it with photos) :-windows are really old with single thin glazing and do not close totally-air conditioning is not adjustable -paintings are old and dirty-the baseboards come off-the wallpaper is old and in poor conditions-the floor is worn and broken-the shutters are with holes.-the seals of the bathroom are old and dirty.- the water stay in the bath a long moment because to be evacuated very slowly.-the trash has no top-the phone is old and has not the same number than the number of the room.-the fridge is old and has expired foodstuffs (like a bottle of Coca-Cola !!!).-the safe-deposit box is not the same as the instructions written closed to it-the linen are grey and not white… because of the fact they are old!-cleaning is very bad!-the blankets are old!-the breakfast is apparently fine but the quality of the dishes are not in accordance with a 4 stars hotel. Ham fat, -walls are very thin. Thus, you hear the other rooms with all of related sounds…For me this is a really a bad picture of Argentina which is a very nice country with nice people and services. I spend more than 2-3 months per year in this country and this is the first time I have this experience. We were supposed to stay 3 nights in this hotel but it is really not safe and healthy for my daughter of 7. This we decided to leave after only one night. The hotel reimbursed us only 2 nights which very not fair at all. They proposed us to change for a superior room. But again the window was not closing…Judge by yourself with some pictures.

Great location close to metro station, close to Retiro train station and close to shops. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is good. Altogether good value for money.

Nothing we didn’t like, but rooms were quite bare and basic.

The hotel is in a very good position and although is a little bit run down the front desk staff is amazing, so helpful and kind and my high grade has to do a lot with them.

I saw that the cleaning in the breakfast room was done with the same cloth on the tables, around the food and on the floor!!

The location is good, just one block from Florida pedestrian street, full of shops. Liked that. Buffet breakfast is just OK, and the hotel staff arranged a sandwich bag at my early morning check-out. The bed was comfortable, and the superior room had just enough space - including a bed for a third single guest and a small working desk. I stayed just one night and have no complaints.

Dorá is an old Hotel property, like many Hotels in the Downtown (microcentro) B.Aires. It needs remodeling, as the flooring and bath metal fixtures are old. Contrary to Argentinian standard practice of fixing room prices in dollars, the Hotel only accepted ARS currency, no foreign currency. Beware of the TAX (VAT) incidence, if you pay in cash. The Hotel adds 21% VAT, which should be exempt for non-Argentinian residents, according to this strange Law. As a non-resident, then I paid on a foreign credit card to avoid VAT charges. Beware.

It was a roof over my head for one night

THERE WERE MITES IN THE ROOM! I have videos to show. We moved rooms because the air conditioner wasn’t working in our first room in the 80 degree F heat. When we asked to move into a room with working AC, the room they gave us had mites!! I took video. It was 1 AM, so we could not find another room anywhere else. So we went back to the first room, but none of us could sleep because we were so worried about the mites being rampant the building. I chose this hotel because it was rated well online, its false advertising on the websites’s part

Location was nice, clean and friendly. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall very good. We would definitely stay here again.
