    Pros +

    • It is a classic, old-school hotel that meets the needs of providing decent lodging in a great location. The room had ac and a ceiling fan. Bathrooms had a hair dryer. Towels and bed linens were good. The room safe worked and there was plenty of closet and drawer space.
    • We will stay there again. We stayed there three different times in three weeks. We had three different rooms. There was plenty of closet space and the bathrooms were spacious. There was room to move around the room itself. All were quiet. All had functioning A/C and fans. All rooms have a room safe. You have to ask for the lock. The location was great. Libertad is a block from the Obelisco and two blocks from Corrientes. It is close to so much by foot or Subte. They clean and freshen the room daily. Towels are good. Soap and hair products are adequate. You can get breakfast for an additional cost (7000 pesos while we were there). The front desk staff are friendly. We interacted with people on all three shifts and found them all to be nice. Two of the three beds had good, firm mattresses. We had a fridge in two rooms. They did their job well.
    • Staff, spacious room with chair table etc.Very central location

    Cons -

    • People will gripe about the two flights of stairs to get to the front desk. Deal with it or go somewhere else.
    • We accept that the hotel is old-school. We are ok with that. People gripe about the two flights of stairs from the street to the front desk. You will have to climb two flights of stairs to get to the front desk. Deal with it or find another hotel. The ceiling lights and ceiling fan, when both on, can feel like a strobe light. If you have a room with a balcony, request that the cleaning staff close the balcony doors once they leave the room. We returned to our first room twice to find them open. We heard that no one could possibly get in the room that way, but anything is possible in Argentina. As a friend suggested, if you don’t like something, let the front desk know. That did solve our dilemma.
    • The street was dark and a little scarry for solo woman travellor at night. All Jewellry shops in street shuttered at night. The room.was dark looking out on internal court yard so was quiet but needed curtains drawn for privacy.Kitchen was archaic..fridge did not work, no electric kettle just gas stove with kettle. Microwave worked and staff would lend plate etc if asked but should not really advertise as functioning kitchen.Steep stairs from street to reception...major issue for anyone with mobility issues or v heavy case.

The location was very convenient just steps from the Obelisk, theatres area, restaurants and more.

The room was dark with only one small window, and not all that clean. it was summer and they didn’t have ice available even when we offer to pay extra for it.

Friendly Staff and just a few blocks from where I needed to be.

Room was VERY outdated, only one outlet in the entire room, view was to an dark inside patio, room access was through a completely dark hallway, the heater did not work, we lost power by using the hair dryer. It is just a VERY old hotel with very little done to keep up with the times. The TV is an old fashion giant TV, no flat screen.
