Pros +
- Patios de San Telmo is located a few blocks from vibrant streets of San Telmo where we found wonderful local restaurants. The aesthetics of the hotel are beautiful, with a lovely pool on the roof top terrace was a plus so was a nice modern art and a koï pond!
- Patios de San Telmo is an old building turned into a very nice modern hotel: fairly large room with very high ceiling, large windows and modern furniture and bathroom. We liked it. The breakfast was very good and the staff was very nice and helpful.. push hard to open the front door though ! The small inner courtyard and pool on the roof give this hotel a little something special ! The area is "groovy" with several antique shops within walking distance and the San Telmo Market close by, so is the Tango Plaza. I do not hesitate to recommend Patios de San Telmo when in Buenos Aires !
- Good location in San Telmo.
Cons -
- The one thing that was annoying is that we at first had a room with a toilet that was right next to our bed and the glass door didn’t close probably which made for no privacy. The hotel management placed us into another room right away ( Thank you) !I think the hotel should upgrade some of the outdoor furniture in the outdoor patio.
- Room was cramped, bathroom in a poor state. No elevator going to the room I was staying in. Noise from other guests all night.

Nice building, great pool, great breakfast and nice staff.
Like all Buenos Aires hotels - its an old building and you feel it in the room. Still, relative to other hotels, its in excellent shape.Good value for money - but not worth upgrading. Stick with the basic room, and I highly recommend.
It is located in a good place. Nice people and convince location
The mattress was very old and in bad shape. The towels, also, were old and of poor quality.
I enjoyed being so close to the market. The room was spacious and I loved the jacuzzi bathtub. The bed was very comfortable.I became friends with some of the lovely employeesNoelia, Vivi, Ana, Georgina,Karina. Thank you I would love to return
Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Great location - easy to get to everything, but not in the middle of the hubbub. Good breakfast.
Plumbing is a little finnicky.
The hotel is a converted old house. It has ample patios with natural light, and the rooms are just accessed from them. I recommend asking for the superior rooms unless you go alone. The standards are smaller and have no hot bathtubs. In general, the hotel is very clean and nearby to the Casa Rosada, Puerto Madero, and the famous Feria de San Telmo. I recommend visiting on Sundays and eating at the Mercado de San Telmo.
The rooms could benefit from more light and the pool in the upper floor is quite small and not usable unless the temperature is really high.
Comfortable bed, quiet for a busyish street. Really appreciated their effort of having a taxi waiting for us at the airport Also helpful with directions etc. breakfast was nice, great coffee.
The sink is in the room . The bathroom is just a small place in the room with a glass door that wasnt closing because the wall was crooked so no chance ever to fix that . It smelled like old wet paper , specially in the closet. You do not have windows you have the room doors ( french type) long doors with windows , so if you wanna air the room be ready to be seen by all the others guest. We had only one socket in the room next to the sink
Clean beds, convenient location, and nice staffThe lift was not working and had to take stairs. There was no electric kettle in the room, though I requested it. I had to take stairs and come to the restaurant on the ground floor for hot water, which is inconvenient. AC is extremely noisy. It's not a 4-star hotel.
Great location old style hotel felt very Argentinian. Some variation in rooms first room we were given was very small no space for luggage.second room lots more space. Bedroom clean bed comfortable Pool not clean very black wasn’t a priority for us as we were there to see Buenos Aries
Location. Friendly staff clean
The bed was extremely creaky with the slightest move. The room has a broken window lock. Otherwise, it worked well for spending a few days exploring the city.
Boutique hotel a little quirky basically rooms laid out in a two story courtyard setting.
Great place in the middle of the city, but quiet Comfortable beds!
Coffee could have been better.
The location was good, the surrounds of the room were really nice. It was quiet and secure.
The bed and ventilation were poor.
Good location . Liked having access to drinking water
Not clear about breakfast not being included and was 13000 pesos each
The breakfast is the same every single day. Very simple. Don’t know why other people comment it’s very good. Have salad and I’m not sure how can you say it’s salad when the choice is only sliced carrots n small cucumber that’s it.Front desk staff were very good and helpful which is a big plus for this hotel. Have to change my room coz it’s aircon wasn’t working properly n it’s very hot n humid.
First please it’s not a 4 star. Location is accessible but outside is awful. Streets were very dirty. Walk a block or two very clean street but not the San Yelmo area.Bathroom is old style n sometimes have to push the flush hard to have water. Room at 203 is very hot
