Pros +
- the location
- It is in a good location and very close to the Colon Theater.
- Beautiful old building along the bustling Avenida de Mayo. Friendly staff and great location for walking, bus or subway.
Cons -
- Didn’t have air conditioner, the staff did not help us with a urgent call to the airport.
- One week before the trip, they emailed me that the hotel did not function. Instead, your booking was moved to Exe Colon Hotel, which is 4-star and in the same area! I accepted it to be helpful, considering that I would receive the same service! Unfortunately, it was not the case! Exe Colon is an old hotel! No proper service. Two small beds in a small room (I was supposed to have two twin beds in a large room). The hotel did not have an air conditioning system as well (it was not working!). Mid-November in Buenos Aires is very warm, and with no AC, the room was hell! I Was trying to run away! Terrible Experience! Not recommended at all!
- They will need to update the building, and rooms, it is truly vintage!

Impeccable breakfast. Great location.
The building requires intervention. It looks like it once was a very fancy place, but it needs maintenance. Room was very small.
Is so near about all tourists places and have a Starbucks just next to the hotel. The hotel is so security and it has International breakfast and Argnetino too.
Is beautiful building
Great location, friendly staff. Beautiful old building, needs a bit of a touch up, but rooms were spotless.
Nothing really, very picky if you find a fault here
A very bad stay
The room was very old and didn't have any mirrors, we didn't have comfort or assistance... The WiFi doesn't work, they did allow drinking wine in the room, the breakfast is just ok. A very bad stay.
It is situated convenient. The elevator worked (lived on 6th floor). The beds were comfortable (medium).Doors were locked to the street. It is old (1904, I think) and some of the vibe is still there.Staff very friendly and helpfull. At the pricepoint: value for money.
There was not enough blankets to keep us warm. Had an extra myself, so didn't ask for ekstra, but housekeeping would have noticed this. The layout of the bathroom was unfortunate. The breakfast was not worth our time, but you can choose not to buy it.The door lock was a hazzle.Everything seemed worn and the hotel needs an update (restore it to former glory in respect for the old building).
The staff were really helpful. Hope the manager values them. They did their best with every question and issue we had.
The wifi is simply useless. We suppose to stay in a top floor but we were told by the recepcionist the wifi was not very good there. The thing is that the wifi was actually inexistent there. We then asked for a change of room which the staff kindly conceived for a room which the wifi should work properly and still it was barely usable. Used mostly roaming data. The experience could be much more improved with simple things like WiFi amplifiers (its 2023 ffs), having plug adapters on the reception (can even charge for it!), sim cards, etc.
It was perfectly fine for a one night stay while I was transiting through Buenos Aires. It was nice to have breakfast included.
Very poor
Wifi only worked in reception Breakfast cheese ,ham and dry cakes, Mosquetos everywhere But it was a very cheap hotel not where I would normally stay Loverly building could be really nice but would need serous cash spending
The young people at the hotel reception offer customers 5-star hotel service. They are, of course, very professional, but beyond that, they are personally involved in resolving doubts, answering questions and solving problems immediately.Of all the hotels I have stayed in on my long trip through America, this hotel has been, without question, the one where I have received the best reception.Best regards
Although the best thing about this modest hotel is the reception (excellent: 5 stars), the Wi-Fi is exactly the opposite. If someone is going for work, this one is not the best option... Although I have the impression that most of the hotels in Buenos Aires below 5 stars seem to have the same problem.
Breakfast
No wifi in the room or event in the coridor but only at the receptionTV from 90´s Bed one place with no confortdimension of the shower the price
Only the location
The staff was not friendly at all and the room looked dirty and old.
Central location very close to the capital
WiFi only worked in the lobby and 1st floor. I could not get online from my room
The staff and perfect location.
The absolutely tiny shower (half my body was out).
Location and friendly staff.
The shower was about 30 cm wide so it wasn't possible to shower properly.
excellent reception, very helpful and found answers to all our questions, very good, thank you
very old building, elevator making lots of noises
The hotel staff iare very nice. They help and answer questions that are useful for our 1-2 day short trip. The place is old but the service is great. I'm impressed.
The location is perfect to know the city, is very close to the Casa Rosada and Obelisk.
Sometimes it smells musty and the carpet is not so clean. But it has good ventilation.
