Scandic Haugesund

Very friendly receptionist, good breakfast, good location & convenient parking.

Room wasn't up to the standard of other Scandic hotels we stayed in over our trip to Norway.

Breakfast and staff were top notch.

Rom was too hot to sleep, bath floor was ice cold to walk on for whole stay. Beds was falling apart and squeaky. Had a poorly rest.

Used 2 hours to get an extra pillow. They're were no way to call reception from room

Location and the breakfast

The room was really basic. There were not enough plug sockets near the so-called desk. The pillow was terrible and no aircon in the room worked. It was a really 'tired' and 'dated' room.The scandic always used to provide a dinner service and now it doesn't so I had to go outside and find food somewhere else so I probably won't stay there again.

A single bed seems a bit mean. The lady on check in seemed pretty fed up!

Scandic - You know what you get. Convenient location for customer meetings in Haugesund. Easy parking in the neighbourhood. Working distance to downtown Haugesund.

The staff was lovely! The breakfast was great.

Your website specifies a training room, but a deal with a gym far away from the hotel is not ideal. A lot of noise during the night as well.

Breakfast was the exact same for all the days we were there, so we got sick of it.

No closet space and only 5 hangers which we used to hang our coats, so we had to live out of our suitcase for the whole time. This was terrible. Also because of our long stay, we had to send out our laundry which was expensive as hotel did not have a laundromat. Some hotels have laundromat where you can pay at the machines, that would have been handy.

Breakfast was excellent and the location was great. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The toilet didn’t have floor mats, there were no toothbrushes or toothpaste FOC in the room (for sale at reception). There was hair in the sink when we first arrived and the hairdryer was dusty.

Parking garage was a bit narrow and doesn't indicate maximum height. My wife had to get out and make sure our ski box didn't hit the top while entering.

The breakfast area was not nice and it was very crowded at all times. Little salty options for vegetarians, even the fried eggs had bacon on it instead of keeping it separated.

We loved our spacious room and breakfast was fantastic! We found street parking close to our hotel.
