The 5-star Hotel Plaza Santiago offers well-equipped rooms with 32-inch TVs and panoramic views of the city and the mountains. The hotel is located on the popular Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins Avenue. The Baquedano and Universidad Católica subway stations are a 3-minute walk away. The Hotel Plaza Santiago features, gym, sauna, whirlpool, outdoor pool and body treatments. In addition to a rich breakfast buffet, the restaurant serves international and Chilean food. There is also a bar available in the hotel, as well as room service 24 hours.

Pros +
- The staff were super friendly, accommodating and helpful. The room was spectacular, spotless and clean. The public spaces were excellent.
- The staff was very nice and helpful. The front desk attendant could see I was frazzled upon arrival after a red eye and airport issues, and she went above and beyond to get me an early check in. Not my favorite hotel, but would easily stay again. Thanks
- Great service, location, the whole place was clean and well-maintained.
Cons -
- Unfortunately the area of Downtown Santiago had riots & troubles just before Covid. The area is blighted by graffiti and burnt buildings. Those troubles seem to be long gone, but the evidence is still present. We never felt threatened & walked everywhere.
- Older hotel that could use some sprucing up. The wallpaper in my room was bubbled, but housekeeping did a good job keeping it clean. No ice makers on floors, but you can call room service and they will bring it.
- I was trying to sleep and I could hear everything in the room behind the headboards of the bed, which was kind of annoying.
