    • No Breakfast given
    • Nothing! We payed for 2 nights but left after the first
    • Reminded me of fawlty towers, staff were lovely but food was very basic and room was extremely out dated, peeling wall paper, uncomfortable bedding, no shower. For what we paid I would expect better I’m afraid

    Cons -

    • Dirty Pillows in the bedroom, Laundry left in hallway, Tiles cracked, TV Ariel was a coat hannger , celling looked like it could collapse , staff didnt really talk. Food was good ! Business owners need to wake up ...
    • The rooms were derelict. It really is dangerous to stay here. There is multiple extension leads sprawled across the bedroom floor. The hallways are blocked with bags and bags of dirty laundry and towels. If there was a fire you wouldn’t get out!!! The ceilings were falling in. The rooms were filthy. I have never stayed in such a dirty run down place. The shower head was held to the wall with wire. The tv Arial was hanging from a curtain pole with a metal clothes hanger. There was a cupboard in the room full with Christmas decorations. There was a door from the bathroom to the hallway. We booked 2 triple rooms as there were 5 lads sharing. We were there for the Mick Extance Experience that is down the road. Which is awesome by the way! We are all builders so we’re happy to not stay in a posh hotel but seriously this place is dangerous! We had to stay the first night as it was late by the time we arrived. But after a days riding we all decided we were not going to stay another night so decided to pack up our bits and stay at a pub 10 minutes down the road.

    AVOID AVOID AVOID

AVOID AVOID AVOIDDrove 200 miles with my son to stay before a bike race. The owner had doubled booked the room (as he had done with others). Tried to offer us a caravan as substitute. Book here only if you want to gamble whether you have a room to stay in or not!

    3MichaelPosted on: 8-13-2024

Very little- but sheets and towels were clean

No hot water or very temperamental shower Crockery and cutlery was dirty and mismatchedCooked breakfast only appeared after asking for itContinental breakfast was a cheap loaf of bread and some small packets of cereal No cooked breakfast on the second morning as no staff to ask Very tired decor - does not look like the photos No milk in the room for tea/coffee - again had to ask

The location was great for us local to the bike track. We had a evening meal food was great very tasty good size portions. Lovely atmosphere in bar/lounge View from room was pretty good of the hills. Staff were very helpful and welcoming.Good size room with en suite. Bed was comfy and did have a good nights sleep.

Room was very dated in need of a good makeover. curtains hanging, dressing table drawers falling off not closing properlywindow doesn't close and falling off, Stained carpets, we only had 1 cup in room, no milk to make coffee asked for extra cup and milk was given milk in a jug with no way of keeping it cool /fresh as no fridge in room. Walls with plaster falling off walls very dirty in need of a paint job. This could be a really lovely room just needs a good up date. A bit overpriced for the condition of the room.

    6DeboraPosted on: 3-11-2024

Room was very clean, bathroom was very clean too, quiet place, food in the pub.

No shower, TV with no remote control, overall a bit shabby, no one to hand back the key at 9am on Sunday so we just left them on a console.

Top place to stay Staff super friendly and made us feel very welcomed, breakfast and dinner was great decent pint and pool

Friendly staff, despite the fact we turned up plastered in mud on mountain bikes and at £35 pppn including breakfast it met our limited budget, family rooms worked well for a group of friends. Standard pub food, rooms were warm, met expectations for the price point. Good location for riding and visiting Pistyll Rhaeadr etc.

Not pristine clean (although neither were we, so that wasn't a high priority!) And could maybe have done with a bit more soap/ shampoo/ mugs in the family rooms.

No breakfast but did have evening meal which was fine. Lovely location with some good walks for the dog.

Good locationCar parkingSheets were nice and clean

No clear reception area No-one to greet usRoom was unfinished with a hole and water staining in the ceilingBathroom was rather quirkyNo soaps provided, not invited for dinnerRoom seemed to be a bit of a dumping ground for beds with 2 single needs, one double and a travel cot propped up in a cornerNo information about breakfast and none was provided, despite adverts for a free breakfastAll in all, felt ignored by staff from beginning to endIt felt more like a bunkhouse at inflated price

    10AstonPosted on: 8-27-2023

All the staff was really friendly and helpful couldn't do anoth for you, the food was really good, the views are amazing.. will definitely be going back there..

    6JessicaPosted on: 8-21-2023

    Gateway/pitstop to snowdonia and views

That the rooms had sockets hanging off which is dangerous with children and the shower head was taped together

    3AllanPosted on: 7-25-2023

Location was good for our needs, beds were comfy.

Could not get Wi-Fi in the room even though there was a hub in it. (They did apologise) but 3 days no internet when your phone provider doesn’t cover that area for signal wasn’t great as we couldn’t stay in contact with family and friends. There was a bath and not a shower in the room and on the last night no hot water for a bath.

    7RobertPosted on: 7-17-2023

This is casual accommodation, suitable for walkers, cyclists and bikers who need to stay in the area. Bar food and beer are good.

Shower was too hot, but host responded to this when I reported it.

    3AliPosted on: 7-13-2023

Location was the only thing which was good.

No WiFi, the room has the bathtub, but no shower basin sink was very bad water stuck. Bed pillows and duvet smell very awful. Beds were not comfortable at all. Luckily, we only stayed for one night.
